I think that they are almost equally bad. That Dorne arc was literally useless in S5, but S6 also had some bad writing like killing Stannis

I would say that S3 was probably the weakest so far. It was the hardest to keep interest in, though The Red Wedding certainly changed that. I disagree with most of the criticisms of the newer seasons.

I haven't read the books, though I intend to after the show ends. So I'm not really familiar with that.. I just felt it was the hardest to keep interest in.
