I second that!

I love all the music equally (I doubt I could tell you what songs belong to what album, aside from those which are title tracks)
Brave New World, though, is my favourite because of the album art. That cover is absolutely amazing

Same...great drums, great vocals..its like a picasso!!!

Voted for Powerslave. I wore that cassette out. I think I was 13 at the time. A bit later on it became one of the first CDs I owned.

Piece of Mind
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
Number of the Beast

The 3 above would jockey for places 2-4 depending on the day of the week I voted.

I voted for Iron Maiden, which is my favourite at the moment. But it's a tie with Piece of Mind - Revelations is strong reason (won't forget the feeling when Bruce announced it at the Prague gig). And third would be Seventh Son, the first IM album I've ever heard, bought, and fell in love with.

[!--emo&B)--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/cool.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'cool.gif\' /][!--endemo--] For me DOD carries on where BNW left. The emergence of 3 great lead guitarists, some epic songs with three solos, and the varaince of the sounds is amazing. I think Wildest Dreams is a great opener. It's 3 min 50 sec of power and fun, a great song to drive to. No More Lies and Paschendale steal the album and must be regarded as instant classics, the riff on Montsegur kicks arse on scales not seen since Powerslave, Face in the sand has one of my favoutiye all time solos and new Frontier marks the arrival of Nicko as a song writer. Nuff said , kin brilliant. So in order:
1 Dance of Death
2 Somewher in time
3 Piece of Mind
4 Seventh son
5 Brave new world
6 Number of the beast
7 Iron Maiden
8 Powerslave
9 Killers
10 No prayer for the dying

I never bough virtual x1 and the x factor or fear of the dark so cant comment. i fell out with maiden when H left and wasnt until Brave New World when I fell in love again. Saw them at Download and at Nottingham in 2003 and going to Reading this year. 32 years old and still rocking like a bastard. up the irons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Check out The X-Factor. Maybe there's no H, but it's still one of Maiden's best records, IMO, as long as you're open to Blaze's voice.

Hi people! First post!

I feel kinda awkward saying Brave New World is my favorite album, since I'm usually a fan of older classic stuff. [!--emo&--][img src=\'style_emoticons/[#EMO_DIR#]/blink.gif\' border=\'0\' style=\'vertical-align:middle\' alt=\'blink.gif\' /][!--endemo--]

But The Wicker Man, Ghost Of The Navigator, and The Mercenary are some of my most played songs, and the actual song Brave New World was the first Maiden song I heard, so this album is the reason that I got into Iron Maiden.

I also feel funny calling myself a true fan, I've only known anything about Iron Maiden for about 4 months, but a friend said I'd like them so I looked em up and they almost instantly shot to the top of my list of greatest bands. Somewhere in time. Cause it has alot of memories associated with it. i.e breasts and so on. Hell its all good.

Im A Power Metal Fan And Powerslave Is Fantastic...Best Maiden Album And Quite Different From The Rest

My current favs in order.

1. Somewhere in Time (I like the atmosphere very much and it contains my favourite song of all time, Alexander the Great.)
2. Piece of Mind (also a perfect album, great songs, dark and emotional sounding..)
3. The X Factor (might be a strange choice, but if I look at the compositions, it's simply the best and most complex Maiden album)
4. Seventh Son of Seventh Son (simply brilliant, fantastic concept and excellent music, best vocals)
5. Powerslave
6. The Number of the Beast
7. Killers
8. Brave New World
9. Virtual XI
10. Fear of the Dark
11. Dance of Death
12. No Prayer for the Dying
13. Iron Maiden (can't help it, I think it's a good album, but I'm a fan of the more complex style which has started with Killers..The Phantom of the Opera and Remember Tomorrow are simply fantastic songs followed by Charlotte the Harlot..the rest is okay)

When I voted five months ago, my favorite was Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (as you can see on the previous page). But, now Powerslave and Piece of Mind have became my favorites, because they have sooo much more energy and the level of musicianship is at their all time high (except for Adrian, he would soon after show his full potential on SIT).

This is how I now rank the albums.

1. Powerlsave
2. Piece of Mind
3. Somewhere in Time
4. Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
5. The Number of the Beast
6. Brave New World
7. Iron Maiden
8. Dance of Death
9. Killers
10. Fear of the Dark
11. The X Factor
12. No Prayer for the Dying
13. Virtual XI

Seventh son is the ultimate album.

1- Seventh son (masterpiece)
2- Brave new world (a very close runner-up)
3- Piece of mind (still after more than 20 years, gets better every day)
4- Somewhere in time (the sound and the atmosphere are brilliant)
5- Dance of death (great album, very theatrical)
6- Powerslave (Maiden's highest moments but uneven at times)
7- The number of the beast (classic stuff but I'm kind of tired a bit)
8- Iron Maiden (wonderful songs, crappy production and singer)
9- No prayer for the dying (not bad but no strong moments)
10- The X Factor (great songs with snoozers. Good effort though)
11- Virtual XI (Every song is good but it needs a producer with an outside look)
12- Killers (Too many average songs)
13- Fear of the dark (Bruce should have left before. The band sounds tired and uninspired)
