Watching this one now. If you ever felt Myung doesn't get enough screen time on the DVDs, this is for you.
Recommend this one. It's a huge concert and a lot of the material is underrepresented on the DVDs, in some cases not on any official DVDs (Glass Prison Killing Hand, Great Debate). The performance is awesome, JLB sounds pretty good and Jordan Rudess doesn't go off the rails on old solos. I actually really like his playing on this. Visually it's cool seeing the band play outdoors, all their other videos are indoors. The video/audio quality is about what you expect for a bootleg release but still good. It's not Live At Budokan but it's still higher quality than some officially released videos (Chaos In Motion). I just wish Petrucci was a bit louder.

And I haven't even gotten to the second disc yet!

In other news, I think I found @JudasMyGuide on DTF. :D

Dude, you already did. Like, last year...

Copying from posts I have made in another thread on another forum:

Feel like I've read this before.

Another fun minigame! Can you find the Oldfield nod in Metropolis Pt. 1? The first to answer can pick my votes in the next round.

No, you can't pick my votes in the next round.

Can't play the song right now to get time stamps so I'll try my best to describe it:

The part right after the Steve Morse style guitar/keyboard duel where it's just the keyboards playing using that funny sound before the rest of the band joins in on that riff.

For the rest of you lot - This is the Oldfield track, BTW. It's only an excerpt, about half of the whole composition, but there's no complete version on YT

The part I was talking about starts at about 2:18

:D

Never made the connection myself but my mind went to that part right away when I read Oldfield. Haven't even heard Taurus honestly, was just thinking in general the sounds and layering of parts is similar.

Tubular Bells is good stuff. He gets lumped in with prog rock but I think his influence is felt more in post rock and even some electronic music.
