Coronavirus

State of emergency in Bulgaria. Everything closes down until 29 March, except for supermarkets and pharmacies. The measures have been announced after it was revealed that a number of people officially placed under quarantine went about their days as usual. Bloody idiots.

Spain:
Yesterday: 2274 cases and 56 deaths
Today at 12:25pm: 4000 cases and 90 deaths
Today at 16:30pm: 4200 cases and 124 deaths

The goverment is going to declare the alarm status like Italy did.
People from Madrid are leaving the city to summer holidays houses and cities and towns for all over the country. This is very dangerous because they are spreading the disease.

Next week of uni - the final week of Lent term - has been cancelled now. Not sure how this is going to affect the exams next term
We still have two weeks to go and I'm keeping everything crossed for my university to stay open until the end of term (27th March). You haven't developed a cough or fever since the Testament gig have you?

We have 798 confirmed cases now. That's a jump of 208 since yesterday. We'll probably have 2000 on Monday.

State of emergency in Poland.

- gatherings up to 50 people
- no traffic from outside of the country by train and air
- no shopping centers - only pharmacies and grocery stores may stay open
- all clubs, pubs, bars etc. Closed and they can only deliver food
- 14 day quarantine for those who enter the country.

I'm worried about my trip to Barcelona for Iron Maiden in July. I read that some towns north of there are badly affected. Hopefully things will be better by then

A London Underground driver has the virus now. Bloody hell. About five million journeys are taken on the Tube every day. I'm not planning on going into London for another month, but even the two small events I have tickets to might be called off.
To be fair, Tube drivers don't exactly mingle with passengers. I'm more bothered about passengers hacking and coughing all over other people on public transport, and similar hacking and coughing in packed offices.

What I really like is a supermarket chain allowing only a limited number of people at a time inside to avoid them being close to each other. So now you've got queues outside with people standing really close to each other.

Trump declares crisis, gives FEMA extended responsibilities ... who would've thought he would be the one to round up pepple in FEMA camps? Wasn't Obama supposed to do that?
