Oh my...toughest round so far for me..

McLean
Bowie vs Harrison is like a straight draw. But Harrison has better songs than this so I don't feel bad giving the victory to Bowie.
Barracuda is great fun. Tupelo Honey - Just a personal favorite! Vote goes to Morrison.
Yes

Glad to see Vasoline and Tupelo Honey getting some support, even if I voted the other way. They're great songs that drew tough opponents.

This is actually expected... in each group of 8, the highest seeded song is the top song in the first pair, and the 2nd-highest seed is the top song in the third pair. They draw the lowest seeded opponents ... which are often those underrated gems which deserve better.

The "toughest" match, by seed numbers, should always be the second pair. Those seeds are in the middle of the pack, and getting closer together with every round. At round 64, the first pair will be 1 vs 512, and the second pair will be 256 vs 257.

The STP song is good, "American Pie" is better.
I have no real preference in the second pair - they're both fine songs - but for now I like Harrison a bit more.
Another fine pair, I could go either way here. "Barracuda" charms me more tonight.
"Owner of a Lonely Heart" is a song I've heard a few too many times, but it's better than the Townshend song.

Nothing really bad this round, might be the first time.

My votes:

I can't stand Dire Straits, and the other one is pretty good. Somebody To Love
Really love this Golden Earring song. Radar Love
Hey Ya is good, but this Boston song is superb. Peace Of Love
Classic guitar riff can't lose. Sunshine Of Your Mind

Probably true. That song got ranked by four radio stations as a top 500 rock song nonetheless.

#131 by one of the two Philadelphia stations, #286 in Pittsburgh. All three Pennsylvania stations were by far the heaviest on soul music, and I'm sure that's why they listed this. Hey Ya may not be rock, but it's fair to call it soul.

#173 in Australia. That station had the greatest emphasis on recent songs.

#273 in Seattle, one of the "alternative" stations I used.

What the hell is Outkast doing here? (rhetorical, I read the answer)
Sultans, Radar, Peace, Sunshine.

Don't you want "Somebody to Love"...
Not crazy about the Boston song, and "Radar Love" is always fun.
Better Boston song this time, but I grew up in the 00s and not the 70s. "Hey Ya!" it is.
"Sunshine of Your Love" is incomparably better.
