I just have no excuse not to attend the Sofia show. Awesome!

Lots of dates, btw. Some arenas too!

Bruce: ''It was important to set the tone of the project with this track. As befitting its title, it’s a heavy song and there’s a great big riff driving it…but there’s also a real melody in the chorus that displays the light and shade that the rest of the album brings… and just wait until you see the video!''

It seems the song's chorus is indicative for the album's mood. Dark sound! He said ''a real melody in the chorus'' - does that mean the teaser is the post-chorus section (like in Stratego)? I really hope so. I don't think it's melodic, harsh vocals and studio effects.

Imagine what Steve would do with such a title...

And it seems the video will be curious.

The first single to be taken from it will be ‘Afterglow of Ragnarok’, a dramatic and epic track that introduces the world not just to the music of the album but to the compelling narrative that forms the basis of The Mandrake Project.

So that will the the album opener?

Oslo for me. Hope for shows in Finland and Sweden the week after. There is a big gap in the schedule.

That really sounds like opener for the album, setting the story and start of it all.

I heard that he was booked for the cancelled Rockfest. I would have been during the week long cap in the Dates in June. Still a chance for a solo gig in Finland there I think.
Ok ,hopefully some date will get announced. It would feel totally strange if there wasn't a show in Finland.

I doubt he will revisit the theme of the song with more songs from the album.

About the themes:

The Mandrake Project is a dark, adult story of power, abuse and a struggle for identity, set against the backdrop of scientific and occult genius.
Created by Bruce Dickinson, scripted by Tony Lee and stunningly illustrated by Staz Johnson for Z2 Comics, the series features 12 episodes that collect into three graphic novels and will be launched in 2024
.

The album might have 12 songs(?). I hope for at least 14, but that's great too. Wonder if there will be any bonus songs.

A scientific genius? The one from IESF who steals souls?

This all sounds like something Devin Townsend would do around 2011.
