Bruce Dickinson

@GhostofCain didn't you lately mention some other Keith Olsen album songtitles? Can't find it anymore. Maybe I read it somewhere else.

Titles of songs that weren't released.

edit: sorry, I just see it is on the Balls wikipedia page:

Original Sin is the only song that has not been released as far as I can remember (or at least it is the only songtitle I can remember Bruce mentioning).

There is no source, it could be very unreliable.

There is no source because the original website was hosted at geocities.com and can no longer be found:

When it was originally posted someone copied and pasted it at Maidenfans.com and that is the content that you can read in the link that I posted. ;)

Bravewords also highlighted the interview, brought to their attention by Maidenfans.com in the first place:

Same as they did with the interview Eric did back in the day with Shay Baby, as I posted a couple of days ago:

After some searching, I have been able to find the interview with Shay Baby:

I wish I had kept in touch with Eric so he could post the interviews he did with Keith Olsen and Jack Endino here!
Weird. Shay Baby is talking about Maiden, while it should be Bruce Dickinson! O wait, it could be some alternative mix for From Here to Eternity or something. I remember a different mix.
Holy cow, some very negative opinion on Roy Z's person.

The song in question is Wasting Love. Keith Olsen did a remix of the track. :)

Had he been rebuffed we would have heard about this instead of hearing nice words about Rod and Andy, don't you think?

I just re-read it and he says that he 'brought it to their attention' so maybe he did contact them privately, which would make more sense of his glowing comments. Or maybe he was told to be nice or he wouldn't get paid. Either way, its sorted and quite civilly at that. I'll take my tin foil off. For now....

RE songwriting credits; good point, I didn't think about that

The CD single has no mention of it being a different mix on the credits but it is. Parts are edited, the vocals have more reverb and the guitars have a lot more clarity. It's a better mix than the album. I don't like the edits though.

EDIT: the bass is shit on the remix though, however it might be why the guitars sound better

Bruce had said that a concert with orchestra won't work well, but this performance is very good. Check out !

I don't think Bruce ever disliked traditional heavy metal. I think he wanted to explore some other areas of music. He did that, then he went back to making "proper" heavy metal on his own. That process certainly helped draw him back to the Iron Maiden camp. Now, Steve lets him explore within the confines of the band far more than he was allowed to do so in 1988, and it seems to work for everyone.

What Bruce did was, during a mid life rock star crisis, realize he did not want rock stardom but musical integrity. Later on he realised he wanted rock stardom after all and above all. That's the short version.

Bruce best solo album is ''Accident Of Birth'' !

And I think it is the only album that can compare with Maiden's golden albums from the 80's.
