Re: "Perfect" Iron Maiden album by Track Position (Track #5 Finals)

SSoaSS. One of the most atmospheric Maiden songs, cool instrumental section, and of course, he has the gift of second sight.

TLD has a weak chorus that just doesn't fit with the rest of the song.

Re: "Perfect" Iron Maiden album by Track Position (Track #6)

The title track from Seventh Son of a Seventh Son has won Track #5.

Track #6 songs are up now.

It looks like another relatively weak position. Only DoM, SiaSL & OotS are the ones I'd consider voting for... but it's "Dream of Mirrors" easily.

Re: "Perfect" Iron Maiden album by Track Position (Track #6)

Dream of Mirrors! Probably Janick's best song ever.
I just love all seconds of the song, it's perfect as it is, I wouldn't change nothing of it (maybe the solo but even the solo is good this time).

Isle of Avalon, Stranger in a Stranger Land are good but not at this level. (IoA has the chances of replacing DoM as my favourite nº 6 song tho).

Re: "Perfect" Iron Maiden album by Track Position (Track #6)

Dream is fantastic and Avalon has come on real strong in the past week.
But today I am voting for the Educated Fool — heart over head.

Re: "Perfect" Iron Maiden album by Track Position (Track #6)

Dream of Mirrors.

In a month, it could be Isle of Avalon. I like that track more with each listen.

Re: "Perfect" Iron Maiden album by Track Position (Track #6)

Stranger in a Strange Land (almost voted for DOM or IE)

Re: "Perfect" Iron Maiden album by Track Position (Track #6)

It could be Stranger in a Strange Land or Isle of Avalon, but I'm still going for Dream of Mirrors.  The first two have excellent solos, great instrumentals, are overall awesome H compositions, but Janick still wins in this. Dream of Mirrors is faster and more energetic, I love Nicko's performance in the song, and I would say it has the best lyrics too.

Stranger In A Strange Land, the best Smith solo ever.

IoA will probably be moving on to the Finals of Track #6. It will be interesting to see if some folks will be switching to that...

I think it's a good track, but DoM is just so much better.

Re: "Perfect" Iron Maiden album by Track Position (Track #6)

Stranger in a Strange Land, only because I didn't think anyone would go Still Life.

Re: "Perfect" Iron Maiden album by Track Position (Track #6)

I give my vote to Still Life just so there will be some appreciation for it. It's a great little song and it is vastly underrated.

SIASL, DoM, IoA, BITV are all great as well.

Re: "Perfect" Iron Maiden album by Track Position (Track #6)

Poll has been reset and three songs are left for Position #6.

I still vote for Dream of Mirrors.

Re: "Perfect" Iron Maiden album by Track Position (Track #6 Finals)

Three great songs. I really don't prefer any of them over the other, so I'll just let it be decided by the fact that SIASL contains H's greatest solo from the classic era.

And the fact I just listened to Somewhere in Time.

Re: "Perfect" Iron Maiden album by Track Position (Track #6 Finals)

I'm sailing to the Isle of Avalon
