Re: "Perfect" Iron Maiden album by Track Position (Track #7)

But for all his power, couldn't ... forsee his own demise

Powerslave and Starblind are great but don't quite push my buttons quite as well as The Clairvoyant.

Re: "Perfect" Iron Maiden album by Track Position (Track #8)

Track #7 was a pretty definitive win for Powerslave. Track #8 songs are up!

Call me crazy, but I actually prefer FtGGoG over Paschendale and RotAM.

Re: "Perfect" Iron Maiden album by Track Position (Track #8)

Rime of the Ancient Mariner.

Paschendale would be my the 2nd vote and For The Greater Good of God the 3rd one. Great songs in there.

Rime Of The Ancient Mariner, because Hallowed Be Thy Name isn't here

Re: "Perfect" Iron Maiden album by Track Position (Track #8)

There is a lot of awesome here. In addition to the two giants (Rime and Paschendale) there are several other favourite tracks of mine.

Alexander the Great is simply fantastic, music-wise. Had the lyrics not been of the "secondary school history essay" type, it might have won. Only The Good Die Young is also a great track, underrated by many, but it is a bit short.

Another underrated song is Blaze's last song with Maiden, Como Estais Amigos. A "different" Maiden war song, talking of reconciliation years later, rather than battle action (like Aces High), or justifying to oneself why one goes there (Afraid to shoot strangers). Shall we keep at bay the beast?

BLOOD IS FALLING LIKE THE RAIN

No need to say it but Rime would've been my no.2. Talisman and FTGGOG after that.

Paschendale. Of that, there is no doubt.

Re: "Perfect" Iron Maiden album by Track Position (Track #8)

Paschen-fucking-dale.

In a foreign field he lay...

Oh come everyone here knows the awesomeness of the song I voted for.  It is like elementary.
