Re: "Perfect" Iron Maiden album by Track Position (Track #9)

No, it's probably not necessary.

PFD beats Rime? Has a new guard come to Maidenfans?

For reference, in Survivor, I think all PFD fans should commit to a "Kill Hallowed and Rime Early" strategy.

I think all Hallowed and Rime fans should commit to a kill PFD strategy ;)

(P.S. We probably outnumber you :P)

Re: "Perfect" Iron Maiden album by Track Position (Track #9)

It would have killed me to vote for one over another last round, but if I had voted I would probably have gone for Rime.  That would have been interesting, it would've been a tie then. :)

Thankfully, this one's super easy.  It has a few excellent songs, but they have nothing on Hallowed.

And since Rime had more votes than PFD in the Track #8 elims, Rime would have ended up the winner in that case :D

So, all those who love PFD can thank me for not voting. :D

Lord of Light to redeem myself from the Head-to-Head song thread (I felt terrible for picking PFD over LoL, even though PFD is clearly the better song).

But Hallowed deserves the win by far. I underrate that song far too much.

May I intervein to help you decide, once again?

Re: "Perfect" Iron Maiden album by Track Position (Track #9)

Will there be/has there been another this lopsided?

Re: "Perfect" Iron Maiden album by Track Position (Track #9)

Hallowed, with an honorary mention of To Tame A Land (the ending based on 'Asturias' still being one of the best instrumental parts Steve has ever written).

Re: "Perfect" Iron Maiden album by Track Position (Final Track)

Well that was predictable... of course HBTN wins by a landslide :p

Now... since there are several track 10's... track 11's and one track 12, I decided to group them all together in the poll as the final track of this compilation. Vote for the final track of the album. Here are the results so far:

1 - Aces High (Powerslave)
2 - Infinite Dreams (Seventh Son of a Seventh Son)
3 - Brave New World (Brave New World)
4 - The Clansman (Virtual XI)
5 - Seventh Son of a Seventh Son (Seventh Son of a Seventh Son)
6 - Stranger in a Strange Land (Somewhere in Time)
7 - Powerslave (Powerslave)
8 - Paschendale (Dance of Death)
9 - Hallowed Be Thy Name (The Number of the Beast)
10 - ???
I vote for When the Wild Wind Blows btw...

Re: "Perfect" Iron Maiden album by Track Position (Final Track)

Not too hard...I'm going with WTWWB, although I could have gone for The Thin Line.
