I prefer Sabbath with Dio and I absolutely love his work with Rainbow. But for some reason his solo work never truly clicked with me.
I'd have to say that this is exactly the same for me. I'd take any Dio fronted Rainbow album over all of his solo material any day.

Yea this is definitely the worst group we've seen. Some of these albums are just downright terrible and have no business in a Best Album Ever poll. The two Iced Earth albums deserve to be promoted, and even those aren't the best IE albums (Although Burnt Offerings is very underrated and one of their better albums).

Mob Rules
Defenders
Holy Diver
Angel
Astro Creep (Absolute crap)
Dogs Of War
Evil Empire
Imaginations
Land Of The Free (I find this to be a bit overrated by GR fans. I love Rebellion in Dreamland as well as a few others, but the rest is just meh)
Load
Mellon Collie
Roots (Although maybe the most "important" album of the new group)
Symbolic

I don't think half of these are albums are terrible, not even bad. Maybe it's my broad taste *cough, cough*, but I guess I only dislike White Zombie.
(Although Burnt Offerings is very underrated and one of their better best albums).
Fixed.

Burnt Offerings shows a darker (even doomy at times), more angry and evil side of the band, culminating into an intensity never achieved afterwards. Behold a very atmospheric record with Iced Earth's "Rime of the Ancient Mariner": Dante's Inferno.

Interesting development at this time of posting: Iced Earth and Psycho Motel in the lead!
Last round, 6 votes were enough for elimination but now it's a good score.

I'm watching you.

I have no idea what you're talking about. :innocent:

Did I say how much I love Sepultura? One of my all-time favourite bands, although Roots is not the best thing they've done.

I have banged my head to the title track quite regularly when going out in the nineties (in some alternative club where they also played some metal). The previous album I liked a lot but I haven't ventured into their earlier and later work. What are you favs?

Chaos A.D. is my absolute favourite, but I also love all their earlier work, especially Arise and Beneath the Remains. Never really managed to overcome the disappointment of seeing Max Cavalera leaving the band, so they lost their appeal to me after Roots.

Agreed, but even still there are 3 IE records that I prefer, plus Barlow's voice is only OK here. Miles better than Dark Saga though.
