Arjen Anthony Lucassen (Ayreon, Star One etc.)

I think The Source was overcrowded with similar voices, too, which made it feel more obtrusive. It was (for the most part) a bunch of male tenors belting everywhere and then Floor doing powerhouse belting as well. So far the vocalists revealed here are much more diverse.

Simone Simons and Dianne van Giersbergen on the same album.

I am...less than thrilled with that choice, but we'll see where this goes. I'm hoping the album is great, but I do have to say my interest in these "cast" albums are directly related to the vocalists and so far the only ones I'm excited about here are Tommy and Mike Mills.

I only know the word "sophomore" regarding Americans talking about which year of university they're in (the one after freshman year) and regarding second albums.

I gotcha. I didn't take into account that it's probably a mostly-American phrase.

Definition of sophomoric
1: conceited and overconfident of knowledge but poorly informed and immature
2: lacking in maturity, taste, or judgment

Number 2 is more what I meant.
