Croatia uninspired and tired as the match went by. Doesn't look like winning attitude for the penalties. Same shit against Turks in 2008 when they eq-ed in 120' we went in knockdown-mode to kicks and lost.
 
My Barcelona boy took us through. Rakitic was level-headed for the 5th penalty. Modric's 2nd penalty attempt was so risky, inch away from the keeper. I was disappointed with the executions because everyone seemed to lack the cohones for shooting a projectile somewhere high, apart from the Dane substitute.
 
Yesterday I missed four shambolic goals, 1006 sideways passes and two penalty shoot-outs. Not great then. Brazil vs. Mexico will have more excitement.
 
"We've shown that we're better than Croatia". Yeah, right. Sore loser, Jorgensen, should really get off that high horse, they lost and albeit Croatia wasn't top notch, they had nothing going for them except physical stamina and danger they create by combining that with long passes bypassing the midfield. They were the best team in domain of physical condition on the tournament, it was moist and hot last night, Modric was nowhere to be seen, and they couldn't capitalize on it. They had a lot of luck to even get to the penalties, Rebic got tackled down in last moment, referee doesn't show any sort of card for that foul, Modric misses the penalty. Perisic was bad (he is bad for the whole tournament), Rakitic wasn't prominent too, Kovacic average, it took just one of mids and forwards playing well (Rebic) for the Denmark to have problems with it.

Better luck next time, you'd be out sooner if Schmeichel wasn't there.
