2014 Tour Rumours

I think festivals that sell out instantly wait until March (Reading & Leeds) but most of them will cleaned up sometime in advance of that.

Why not? 2009 leg of SBIT tour had only one European show (Belgrade :)).
The rumour if for a date in France though, so why not do plenty of other festivals in Western Europe while they're at it?

Time for my setlist prediction
1. Be Quick or Be Dead
2. Wrathchild
3. Man on the Edge
4. The Trooper
5. Afraid to Shoot Strangers
6. Die With Your Boots On
7. Number of the Beast
8. Sign of the Cross
9. Lord of the Flies
10. Heaven Can Wait
11. Evil That Men Do
12. The Clansman
13 Fear of the Dark
14. Iron Maiden
----
15. Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter
16. Hallowed Be Thy Name
17. Sanctuary

I think Be Quick or Be Dead would be a great opener for this tour (if it comes to be). Some of the other songs are self explanatory. Die With Your Boots On was performed rarely during the Fear of the Dark tour and hasn't been played since 2003 if I recall correctly. It was a live staple that needs to be preformed more often. Sign of the Cross is a given and would just be an breathtaking experience to see live. Heaven Can Wait was performed most shows throughout the 90's and I thought they would actually play this one during the Maiden England tour, but they didn't. I really want to see this one live. The Clansman like Sign of the Cross would be a given and just would be an astounding experience. Bring Your Daughter to the Slaughter would probably be the only song from NPFTD that they would play. I think Sanctuary would be the set closer just because it hasn't been played in awhile. And I'm curious to hear it live. My list only has one flaw, there is nothing from Powerslave. If anything was played from that album we could only guess that it would be Two Minutes to Midnight.

Its a very plausible set list. But i still think we could have some "OOPART" songs, in early days they stick to the period ,but in somewhere back in tour we have many oopart songs, Moonchild, the clairvoyant and can i play with madness frome Seventh, and fear of the dark.

Thinking about of the way of working of iron maiden, seems that they play songs from the future historic tour ,maybe to refresh??? because in maiden england tour, they played another oopart song, afraid to shoot stranger, as you all now

Who knows ... I guess we will find out when they announce something. I hope it is not Maiden England, but given that they did not bring that show to a large part of the world they usually tour and how well received the show was, I would not be surprised if it happens

Could it be?

Aha! I was only looking for updates on Knebworth last night. There were a few reports earlier this year that the estate was going to hold its own festival, possibly not under the Sonisphere banner.
