2014 Tour Rumours

Be Quick or Be Dead is a fantastic opener. Not that I've seen it in the flesh but the drum intro, the riff, the scream...It's just so in your face, aggressive from the get go!

Be Quick Or Be Dead would almost have to be the opener if they did a 90's tour. The only other song that could compete with it is Tailgunner; and I have a feeling whichever one was the actual opener, the other would be the encore opener.

But then again, there's also Futureal...

If they tour in 2014 and it ends up being primarily an Australia/Japan/Asia/Pacific tour .. it is a pretty good bet that it will be Maiden England Tour again.

It's pretty certain that they're headlining a festival in France though, so a string of European festivals suggests that it won't be a Maiden England tour.

P.S. Japan is part of Asia. :P

I like Futureal as well but I think it is not as signature Maiden as Be Quick or Tailgunner...based on the fact it is a bit of a dark horse live I don't think they will open with it, it's not as recognizable as the other two.

Watch what you say! I brought this up a few weeks ago in another thread, and got my head chewed off for mentioning a possible third year of "Maiden England"... heresy, apparently!

I think Be Quick would be the natural opener, although maybe it is too fast for them nowadays?

in 2003, Give Me Ed tour they opened with Number of The Beast. Great opener also ;)

The France deal (as everything else is) is just a rumor at this point ... but I stick with my thought that if the majority of the tour dates are in areas they have not been on the Maiden England Tour .. I think that is the tour.

Yeah I don't know. Having a large break and then going back doing the same tour doesn't make sense to me much really. All those icebergs are packed away now.....But well, we'll see!

But even if the rumor is true and they play 1 or 2 one off shows in Europe or the US and most are in the Pacific/Asia ... it could easily still be Maiden England

And even so, even if they are at places that Maiden England tour didn't go to, they could go there with an entire new set list/show theme...I don't see the problem in that.
