    TBOS Tour Predictions

Bruce has already said they won't be playing Empire.

Mine too. They're doing three nights in a row in London, one early stuff, then mid, then latest.

    Judas Priest

It's the perfect name for who he is. Reliable but forgettable, always there.

    Judas Priest

Sorry, I meant they couldn't carry on if they lose both. Maiden carried on without Adrian, Priest are carrying on without KK.

    Judas Priest

I was waiting for the first Painkiller solo last night, I'm always amazed by that one on record. Glen managed it, but it wasn't fluid. He was the weakest link last night. But I don't think Priest could carry on without him. They're all about the twin guitars, and once KK and Glen aren't there...

Great Priest gig last night. My first time. Couldn't believe how good Rob Halford still is live at, what, 64? His vocal range is astonishing. Glen T looked a bit of a sorry state in his leather trousers though, might be time to trade them in for something a little looser...

Forgot to mention, I caught a Frankie Bello pick too, one of my bass-playing heroes as a kid. First pick I've caught in 27 years of gigs! Never give up.

    Anthrax

Great gig with Slayer at Brixton last night. Worked the crowd as always, a lot of Anthrax shirts out there, big pit. New guitarist has settled in really well now, whipping his hair all over the place and prowling the stage. Joey was on great form, absolutely NOT too-cool-for-school.

Brixton Fest Pt 1: Anthrax were INCREDIBLE last night. New song Evil Twin went down a storm. The crowd were hugely up for them, and Joey, Scott and Frankie worked them. Great set. Monster pit for Indians. Slayer good too(!). Getting VERY excited about Priest tonight at Brixton Fest Pt 2. A bit...

Got my Priest ticket for Tuesday, to follow Slayer on Monday. Going to take a sleeping bag and laptop and ask Brixton Academy if I can sleep over Monday night and work from there on Tuesday. Fingers crossed.

Got Anthrax and Slayer this coming Monday night at Brixton Academy, and now I'm getting more and more tempted to see Judas Priest at the same place the next night. Sort of like a two-night mini festival with a day at work in between. Not sure I can handle it at my age though...

    Bruce Dickinson

I'm surprised he can fly jumbos round the world but can't drive a car to the shops in Chiswick.

From the same show as @Black Wizard: Sylosis were a great opening band. Didn't know them before, but really tight, complex heavy stuff. Children of Bodom were good, but not playing at their absolute best. Lamb of God were incredible. They won the night. Randy gave a little speech about having...

Me too! Ups and downs of being a parent: Had my ticket to Wolfsbane a couple of weeks ago. Wife was out at work. Babysitter was sick, no-one else could make it, I missed the gig. Tonight is date night. Babysitter booked, we're going out for dinner. Both kids woke up ill, have got worse as...
