Ancient Mariner
And in my dreams this is the tour with full epics. Imagine phantom of the opera,to tame a land, rime of the ancient mariner amd seventh son of a seventh son in the same setlist
3/4 is possible imo, really possible. To Tame a Land would be a big surprise. Phantom is a given, Rime is very very possible, SSOASS is possibleAnd in my dreams this is the tour with full epics. That would be a setlist for ages. And the drummer is "young" maybe we see again 16 songs3/4 is possible imo, really possible. To Tame a Land would be a big surprise. Phantom is a given, Rime is very very possible, SSOASS is possible
I think that depends more on what they play. TFP was 15 songs, but still one of the longest shows they ever put on. Max set time is likely 1h 50min.That would be a setlist for ages. And the drummer is "young" maybe we see again 16 songs
Yeah, the surprise of this tour is not just that they will play songs from the first 9 albums - they will play the whole nine albumsI think 50 songs setlist is the most appropriate
Infinite DreamsYeah, the surprise of this tour is not just that they will play songs from the first 9 albums - they will play the whole nine albums
I think 16 is almost a given, because there are not so many "epics". Most of the tracks are 4-5 mins long and there is Wrathchild and some others that are even shorter. They might even play 17 songs. I did a 17 song setlist on spotify with Phantom, Rime and Powerslave (+ of course Fear, Hallowed) and some other possible songs and it was 1h 36mins long. That + Bruce's speeches is about 1h 50mins. So, it's possible. If they do the Running Free, Sanctuary combo it will be 17 songs for sure. That would be a setlist for ages. And the drummer is "young" maybe we see again 16 songs
Ending with the apparition, quest for fire and invadersYeah, the surprise of this tour is not just that they will play songs from the first 9 albums - they will play the whole nine albums
Live at donington 92 has 20 songs. I like it a lot that album but now i find the setlist boringI think 16 is almost a given, because there are not so many "epics". Yeah, I find it boring too. Too many 90s songs for my liking. That + Running Free, IM, Number, Madness and Sanctuary make it the most boring set for me. I don't think this tour will be boring at all though. Maybe the Running Free/Sanctuary combo returns, but we will definitely won't have 7 90s songs + Madness.Live at donington 92 has 20 songs. I like 90s songs but the good ones afraid be quick and so. But during 90s they forgot all their classics. Prisoner icarus stranger acea high phantom and many others like in 10 yearsYeah, I find it boring too. Too many 90s songs for my liking. To tame a land? When i saw bruce in this picture my first thought was Dune3/4 is possible imo, really possible. To Tame a Land would be a big surprise. Phantom is a given, Rime is very very possible, SSOASS is possible
his costume and goggles in Past Future Tours seemed to be inspired from Dune, I thought. probably he thought during the Somewhere In Time album Blade Runner was the thing and he wore a costume resembling that. And now he got sth resembling Dune. yet there was no to tame a land...To tame a land? When i saw bruce in this picture my first thought was Dune

I don't think they named the book 'Infinite Dreams' because they're playing the song on tour. But they will play it to promote the book, which is the same thing![]()
Good points. The book will be released after the leg of the tour this year.I think the timing of the book and the way it is going to essentially be a promo for the tour is a pretty strong suggestion that Infinite Dreams will be on the setlist. Not a sure thing of course, but I would take it as a serious hint.
I'll believe it when I see it. Infinite Dreams is a song they've willfully ignored for 37 years, and it's a photography book we're talking about. A cool item no doubt, but not a terribly big deal in the grand scheme of Maiden releases. I see it as another part of the 50th celebration, not necessarily tour-related.I think the timing of the book and the way it is going to essentially be a promo for the tour is a pretty strong suggestion that Infinite Dreams will be on the setlist. I don't expect that, more or less. With these songs it won't be that interesting, enough (at least 3 deep cuts, yes), it needs more (like Rime, early days songs, something rare from POM) and ofc at least 2 90's cuts. I think it will be more interesting than the 1992/1993 setlists (not bad ofc), their sets were so predictable with forgotten songs back then. I really hope it won't copy the ME tour much. The more I think about a potential setlist for this tour the more I’m thinking that the bulk of the setlist will be just the standard expected hit songs. All they really need to do to appease everyone is put in still life, infinite dreams and killers that were missing from Maiden England 2013 and then fill the rest of the set with the usual hit songs and they will likely appease both the casuals and the more die hard fans.
Yep (redeem from the 80's songs - well, without To Tame A Land), and maybe with a possible another epic (Seventh Son... Land/Alexander) plus some 90's songs. From SSOASS, we might see 4 songs at most, if they play both Evil and Clairvoyant (the former is a bigger hit). The most candidates along with the debut, at least 3.If they break out Infinite Dreams, that would redeem a lot of setlist omissions from the past.
That with Rime and Phantom is already an interesting set.
If they play it, I guess this would be one of the scenarios where Bruce would want to challenge (to say) himself again. It would be a (big) surprise. Maybe he wasn't that comfortable singing it back then (*with a set without Hallowed). But they played infinite dreams during rehearsals in 2012 and bruce wasnt into it...
I understand you, but I think such a book is a special release. They could have used other titles, from the big classics or the early days.I'll believe it when I see it.
