Yup. I'm not big fan of classics but thanks to this shows I question myself. Maybe it's hype but I think that whole band sounds way better than on BoS tour.
 
I like Nicko's cymbals. I was wondering at the show if the cymbals were black but I assumed it was my eyes deceiving me. One thing that specifically confused me was that I was looking at the bottom of the ride, thinking "that's black" but then I saw the other cymbals in the screen feed and those looked to be about the same color.

And obviously Nicko would never have all of his cymbals in black, can you imagine how much that'd affect their sound? Well, apparently not that much!

I don't think so ! That ''award'' goes for FTGGOG, judging by the audience reactions, but the Maiden audience knows all of their songs (old and new) so I don't know.

It was really fresh that they leave out 2MTM during TBOS tour and now it's sounds fantastic to me - a great classic and I always will welcome it with joy ;)

It has a lot of forgotten songs on this compilation album, in particular: Holy Smoke, Different World, Man On The Edge, Rainmaker, BQOBD, Tailgunner, No More Lies, Coming Home and BYD... TTS

Well, yeah. Apart from BQOBD and possibly Man on the Edge, none of those are something I'd particularly desire to be played. I'd definitely welcome Rainmaker (or Man on the Edge) to do the Wrathchild/The Trooper/whatever job. As they most likely won't replace all the staples, I'm not asking too much here, but something like that would do. Man on the Edge is rather acknowledged song even among the casual fans.

Paschendale would be cool, but since it didn't make it to the TLOTB set I doubt it'll resurface again. Not complaining though, since we got Sign of the Cross anyway!
 
2MTM is too slow for my taste - not working at all - plus overplayed. It would be my number one choice for a replacement in the next leg, except if Wrathchild is the replacement, obviously.

I enjoyed it in shows, surprisingly much, but wouldn't mind if it got replaced. It's definitely another example of a song that would have had much warmer "welcome back" effect if only they omitted it on one post 2010 tour. I liked the icy 2MTM backdrop in ME show, but this one's definitely a song they could have omitted back then, since it didn't even fit the etheric general atmospehere of the show that well anyway and it was just played in 2011.

I felt it worked quite well as part of the current opening bunch though and Bruce has delivered pretty solid performances of it. And it's quite hard to find a suitable replacement that fits the theme. If the pace is a problem, These Colours Don't Run isn't quite a solution and not sure if I'd prefer Death or Glory there either

Exactly... I remember I got really angry when they decided to play it on ME, because it didn't fit at all + overplayed. Imagine if they had played Infinite Dreams instead, that fit completely and would have been a rarity.
 
Listened to Aces High and WED from Copenhagen tonight and Bruce seems to be getting better and better. Even the scream at the end of Aces High is back.
 
Watching videos from Trondheim, it seems than daylight and open air don't suit well to the 'Legacy of the Beast' Show. Bruce is in great shape! There was a little mistake at 0'35 in FTGGOG...

The setlist is one for darkness, for sure. But I hope it at least fits dark-openair...
