Practice makes perfect?

I'd expect some consideration for the neighbours, especially from someone who's only practicing. I've been playing instruments for 6 years now and even I don't go any longer than 45 minutes playing.

Yesterday a wind storm hit my area. One news station reported gusts up to 100 mph. It knocked out the power to pretty much the whole area, and I'm supposed to be without power for about 4 days.
