RUN FOR YOUR LIVES 2026

Man, Bruce's voice is fucked at this point. FOTD is one of the easier songs in the set (apart from the DiAnno era stuff) and he is just struggling after Aces High.

"But, but it has a cool video and we can't drop it..."

He sounds knackered. The set is quite taxing. ID, Rime, and Aces High are all quite challenging songs.

I know people will moan that I am being a negative Norman, but can how can anyone listen to Aces High and say that it is anyway acceptable. Bruce is really struggling. It’s not good enough to say ‘It doesn’t matter when you are at the concert. Everyone is having a good time and the atmosphere is great’.

Put it this way, if I turned up at a singing event with one of my little primary school choirs and they were singing with that much strain and discomfort, I think people would seriously doubt if I knew what I was doing. At this point, I agree with @matic22. They have prioritised visuals over performance the health of their singer.

Loads of last year's footage.
If the DVD is edited like this... Oh boy.
Why are they releasing a first night recap video mostly featuring footage from last year? Too lazy to edit? The live DVD is anxious not only about the footage, but also about how Bruce will handle Aces. I really don't know, maybe he will go for all the high notes and with some help from the crow, hopefully it will sound plausible.

The thing is that most of YouTubers nowadays have better editors than Maiden which is mind boggling. How a corporation like this puts out videos so poorly edited is beyond me. The less said about the video editing on Live Chapter, the better.

Also it's completely plausible that they will fuck up the Paris DVD even worse than expected and not only mix the outdoor and indoor footage from this year, but also use some footage from last year.

I’m not a drummer either, so I can’t speak as to how Simon plays vs Nicko. However, it’s gotta be the snare. Something sounds so strange about it to me. It’s a bit weak, and it doesn’t sound quite right. Although he does play well and has some good fills.
The whole drum set is tuned low now, I dont like the snare either. Nicko had the snare sound cutting nicely through the mix especially when Doug Hall was FOH, SBIT tour particularly. Dave Moreno seems mixed way better by Pooch than Simon.

And why on earth they should drop it?

Why are they releasing a first night recap video mostly featuring footage from last year? Too lazy to edit?
Something pretty normal for every footage that needs to go online quickly.

Then don't buy it.

I thought the official forum was full of people trying to bash Maiden for basically made-up reasons, but here it's a whole new level.

Because it might have a negative impact on Bruce's performance for the duration of the tour if he has to keep doing it
No it won't. We're not talking about an amateur singer playing pubs with an Iron Maiden cover band. I heard him struggling with songs like Fear of the Dark before and Aces High was nowhere to be seen. Sometimes it just happens and it's not really a sign of anything, otherwise Bruce would've stopped decades ago.

That number also seems like a stretch. 40k maximum I would say, but hard to say. Could also be as "low" as 35k. But they certainly had much more people than back in 2022.

As I kept saying, it's gonna be around 34/35k.
