Im getting everything I voted for and it’s glorious. We’re “silent” because we recognize the entire mod team are 1. Not emotionally or mentally stable due to Trump winning and 2. All liberal or left leaning. There’s not even any need to explain it. The message is clear: Trump brought that little weird eurpoean in and absolute buck broke him on national TV. We don’t give a fuck about europe or europeans. Those little weirdos obsessed with America and our money can finance their own endless war

Both in terms of European investments, revenue and, more specifically, loans? If we're in a doom spiral, I say leverage the loans to make the US default on its debts. And if the Dollar loses its status, that alone will make that happen. So yeah, Europe, start supporting and make transactions through the Yuan)

At least by now you are more honest than a few months ago, where you pretended to only care about a few policies (all of which would've objectively been better under Harris and which Trump is fumbling spectacularly at the moment).

I am supportive for the first part, but as a European I felt weird reading that you don’t give a fuck about Europeans. And then I agreed again that Europe could take ownership of the war, not the cleverest move but at least responsible.
This is a great common sense segment here. The last part is bingo, if Europeans feel betrayed by Trump could at the very least lift the tarifs on China (transaction in Yuan is another Unicerse entirely) but unfortunately they are political dwarfs who would decide this thing, Ursula or Kallas?
No need for that. Also not perfect example as the alliance is defensive and Iraq was offensive. There was no standing an ally. Europeans who died were professional soldiers serving whatever interests their country assigned them to serve. Afghanistan is a different beast, but also questionable if a defensive war.

This is precisely what one needs to do as most of the countries do not get significant support if any when invaded, what happened in Ukraine with an almost unconditional support for 3 years is the exception not the rule.
There was few if any support when Cyprus, Serbia, Chile, Libya, Gaza, Georgia, Ukraine in 2014, Afghanistan or Iraq were invaded. The list is long.
Most of the European countries have either significantly or almost completely depleted their arsenal to support Ukraine, this is once in centuries level of support.

Russia is not a peaceful country and that should be enough for everyone. For years, Putin has been talking about returning to the borders of the past, i.e. indirectly suggesting an attack on other countries such as Lithuania.
It is a shame that the US is becoming more and more fraternized with Russia. What needs to happen is the strengthening of Europe, an increase in military spending by all European countries - especially those bordering Russia. Russia has proven that it has no problems with attacking other countries, so the lack of such investments is stupidity. Europe needs pragmatism, the US needs Europe just as Europe needs the US.
The combined economy of European countries is stronger than Russia's, which is why Russia is playing so hard with propaganda to divide the West and convince that the Kremlin does not have imperialist aspirations.
It is a shame that the US is becoming more and more fraternized with Russia. What needs to happen is the strengthening of Europe, an increase in military spending by all European countries - especially those bordering Russia. Opinion exists that Trump acts like does, towards putin, in hopes to make him his aide against China. If so, Trump is beyond naive. russia will not go against China. At first it may pretend, to play along with Trump*, but later, together with China, russia will destroy the west, the global order. Because it's the ultimate russia's and China's goal.

I strongly advise everyone involved to take a step back, take some deep breaths and reconsider what it is you're doing here. That's what I did for a few days. If this sort of situation happens again, we will have to ask ourselves if we should even have political threads at all on this Iron Maiden fan forum.
