There were several people who had no problem defending Trump in the run up to the election here. Now those people are silent.
It’s interesting, you would think it would be easier to come to his defense since so far he is governing exactly the way he said he would on the campaign.

The famed Democratic Party strategist claimed that the downfall will hit as the president’s approval numbers continue to crater. Trump has implemented a multitude of executive orders and fired thousands of government officials all within his first month in office—moves that risk sending the economy into a tailspin.
He advised Democrats to simply sit back and watch it happen.
“Democrats need to play possum,” Carville told Mediaite’s Dan Abrams this week. “This whole thing is collapsing.”
He gave the administration “less than 30 days” before public opinion completely caves in.
“We’re in the midst of a collapse. This is the lowest approval—not even close—that any president has ever had at a comparable time,” Carville said. “It’s going to be easy pickings here in six weeks. Just lay back.”
On Saturday, Trump attacked Carville after the strategist got testy with Sean Hannity on Fox News, questioning the network’s facts when it came to the president’s popularity.
“I’m reading these polls saying the Democrats are 13 points up in the congressional generic, that Donald Trump has the lowest approval rating of any president at this point in his presidency in American history,” Carville said on Hannity’s show. “So, your viewers are getting one view. And I’m reading another view. One of us is right and one of us is wrong. It’s that simple. Have they got fact checkers at Fox?”
Trump pushed back on the claims, taking to Truth Social to say he has the “best polling numbers” he’s ever had.
“The Democrats, run by broken down losers like James Carville, whose weak of mind and body, are going crazy, and just don’t know what to do,” he posted. “They have lost their confidence and spirit - They have lost their minds!”
Carville told Abrams that the debt extension will cause Republicans to reach across the aisle.
“I think the house Democrats—and this is going to shock a lot of people—I think they know exactly what they’re doing and they know exactly what’s going to happen.”
Many Democrats have been upset with the elected party’s defenses against Trump’s administration since his inauguration. Earlier this month, it was reported that the Senate was receiving 1,600 calls a minute over Trump’s first moves in office. Democrats in particular were receiving a high volume of complaints, with many constituents telling them to do more.
“I can’t recall ever receiving this many calls,” Rep. Jim McGovern told Axios. “People disgusted with what’s going on, and they want us to fight back.”

Im getting everything I voted for and it’s glorious. We’re “silent” because we recognize the entire mod team are 1. Not emotionally or mentally stable due to Trump winning and 2. Both in terms of European investments, revenue and, more specifically, loans? If we're in a doom spiral, I say leverage the loans to make the US default on its debts. And if the Dollar loses its status, that alone will make that happen. So yeah, Europe, start supporting and make transactions through the Yuan)

This is the perfect example why people aren't taking conservatives seriously and why the entire world is laughing at the US. At least by now you are more honest than a few months ago, where you pretended to only care about a few policies (all of which would've objectively been better under Harris and which Trump is fumbling spectacularly at the moment).
But as you've said multiple times: Trump makes liberals upset, so of course you're happy with that. Despite how everything is getting worse because of him. Despite the looming recession due to his actions. Despite the fact that your country was sold to oligarchs and Russia's influence is stronger than ever. But "America First!", right?

I am supportive for the first part, but as a European I felt weird reading that you don’t give a fuck about Europeans. And then I agreed again that Europe could take ownership of the war, not the cleverest move but at least responsible.
This is a great common sense segment here. The last part is bingo, if Europeans feel betrayed by Trump could at the very least lift the tarifs on China (transaction in Yuan is another Unicerse entirely) but unfortunately they are political dwarfs who would decide this thing, Ursula or Kallas?
No need for that. Also not perfect example as the alliance is defensive and Iraq was offensive. There was no standing an ally. Europeans who died were professional soldiers serving whatever interests their country assigned them to serve. Afghanistan is a different beast, but also questionable if a defensive war.

This is precisely what one needs to do as most of the countries do not get significant support if any when invaded, what happened in Ukraine with an almost unconditional support for 3 years is the exception not the rule.
There was few if any support when Cyprus, Serbia, Chile, Libya, Gaza, Georgia, Ukraine in 2014, Afghanistan or Iraq were invaded. The list is long.
Most of the European countries have either significantly or almost completely depleted their arsenal to support Ukraine, this is once in centuries level of support.
