USA Politics

A president holding a PC hours after a tragic accident, already trying to blame different people before the NTSB has even had time to talk to the Air Traffic Controllers. But hey, this is what the majority of US voters wanted. Congratulations.

Blaming DEI ... does he know what it takes to work in ATC? If your only asset is belonging to a minority, you will not be able to pass the tests and complete the courses. It is quite possible that Trumpolini, projecting as always, thinks that ATC staff are hired based on who the employers like or that corruption is involved - rather than employing those who are qualified. But that says more about him than about US air traffic controllers.

I think it's a case of they've been told the helicopter pilots name and it's an ethnic minority, because I can't believe they'd have gone in as hard as they did blaming DEI and "incompetence" if it turns out the pilot's name was Chad Hogan or something.

The latest updates from Fucknut Supreme:

Trump has defended his decision to give pardons and commutations to all of the defendants charged in connection with the violent Jan. 6 attack, by suggesting that evaluating all of the cases individually would have been too difficult.

"It would be very, very cumbersome to go and look – you know how many people we're talking about? 1,500 people," Trump told Fox News earlier this month.

It would be cumbersome to review 1,500 cases? WTF do you think the system is for you piece of shit?!

And another deadly plane crash last night.

I'm sure that's all just coincidence, it must be those darn woke trans air traffic controllers suddenly becoming incompetent out of spite.

I'm not a religious person, but you'd think Evangelicals, who like to see signs in every little thing, would start attributing all the recent catastrophes as signs of God's displeasure.
The moral bankruptcy of the Evangelical community has been on display for awhile. It ceased being a religious movement en masse a long time ago, and has been a political one since at least the 80s. That's not to say every Evangelical Christian is dishonest, but the overall leadership cares more about political advancement than any level of integrity.

Trump seems to think that all he has to do is say something and that will magically make it true in everyone else's reality. In other words, he has a god complex :(

It infuriates me that the headline is "experts say the water won't help" when what it should say is "idiot president wastes water because he doesn't understand water flows downhill".

Speaking as someone who is a pastor in a college-focused ministry, the Trump idolatry in churches is really frustrating and discouraging.

So much of what Trumpism stands for is directly counter to the teachings of Jesus. But because he pays the vaguest lip service to "protecting Christian values" (a more accurate description would be hurting people they don't like), so many people just accept it uncritically. Cruelty and hate are becoming "Christian values" in the Trump world.

I honestly don't know what to even do about it. I'm doing what little I can to point people away from the hate though.

Yeah, while I am no Christian, there are many out there who are good people and try to do good things. The Evangelical movement has always been concerning politically, but the level of moral bankruptcy that has been made evident by the movement's full throated adoption of MAGA is frightening.

Isn't that right-wing Evangelicalism in a nutshell?

Yup.

It's a movement focused more on not doing the "bad" things or associating with the "wrong people", and not mercy, love, charity, kindness, etc.

You know, I think there was a guy who pretty directly confronted a group of people/religious leaders who were the same way. Can't remember his name though. I think it starts with a J... :D

DEI has been a global success in business and government by recruiting people otherwise unconsidered into positions, but it's the recent bugaboo on the right, and maybe it is a good idea to consider why opening hiring to people who aren't white men is such a bad thing for a certain class of people.

The cause of the airline crash is almost certainly the lack of qualified ATCs in the United States, an issue that goes to Reagan.

BTW, the president who enacted DEI for the FAA?
Donald J Trump.

Well, there's now 25% tariffs on Canadian goods. The government here will counter-tariff American goods, and may eventually put export taxes on oil - or turn off the taps altogether. I firmly support counter-tariffs.

Trump's tariffs may add 20 cents to the gallon to the price of US gas instantly, but that's nothing compared to what'll happen if we take retaliatory action.

This man is an idiot and he's going to drive both countries into bankruptcy.

Thanks Trump voters!
