Keep in mind that many people have already voted via mail in ballot.
 
I got my mail in ballot a few days before the last debate. This has been a done deal for quite some time for a lot of people.
 
I am planning on voting tomorrow morning ... but could have (in person) starting Monday. There were a few local amendments I wanted to read up on first.
 
I imagine the Clinton campaign is still sitting on Trump stuff in the event that something exactly like this happens.
 
I think the libertarians really fucked up this year. I was previously aware of Gary Johnson from 2012 but this election cycle and extra coverage really made him out to be a buffoon. Should've been Weld on the top.

I like Johnson, but yeah .. Weld is a lot more polished. I am pretty sure Romney and other Republicans would have endorsed him and he would have done well with moderate Democrats/Independents/younger voters.
 
Maybe we will get lucky and Hillary will win the election, get indicted and convicted of a felony leaving office and we never hear from these two assholes on the political stage ever again.
 
That is honestly best case scenario if there is something incriminating in the emails. Much better than Trump getting elected and then it turns out these were just copies of the emails they investigated the first time or something.

Timing of this release seems sketchy anyway. I don't think this is the sort of thing that should be influencing elections, since nothing is proven yet.
 
Hillary really has no one to blame but herself for this ... delay, stall, lie, mislead, delete a slew of emails, etc.
She also turned a 1 or 2 month story in the mainstream press into an 18 month story by the way she handled this

.. and of course she should not have done this to start with.

Absolutely I agree with this. For someone who has so much experience to just not have the instincts to put this behind her. You have to think a guy like Reagan or Obama would have gotten through this by now - assuming they were dumb enough to do such a thing.

It is, however, fairly unprecedented for it to be announced now. I mean, Comey is in a damned if you do, damned if you don't place. If they have to investigate emails, and he says it now, is he intentionally swaying the race? If he said it after, did he deny voters information?
