On another note, anyone got a feeling something might happen in sorts of attacks or bombings?

Attempt(s) will happen, surely. Too big of a stage not to attempt something from the terrorists' perspective. It's almost like a competition of sorts at this point: Will the terrorists prevail, or will the French security forces prevent a tragedy? Let's hope it's the latter.

I wouldn't be surprised if the tournament was on someone's list of potential targets. Anyone see the French guy arrested on the Ukraine/Poland border, armed to the teeth and supposedly planning attacks? Supposedly a French nationalist extremist.

There will be probably be some kind of attempts but I hope none of them will be realised. That was the main reason why I deceided not to go to France. Not that anything will happen to me (althought that is always posibility in huge happenings like this one), but the security measures is going to be drastic which will definitely be felt among the crowd. I've also read about that guy that was arrested on Ukraine/Poland border but I didn't get that he was French.

Back to predictions - hopefuly Ireland and Sweden surprise us all and beat Italy, otherwise Italy will pass the group with 2 draws and get to the final later, as they always do.

Every tournament has a surprise, my guesses are England and/or Poland - would love to see them in final 4.
Oh, and it would be nice to see Spain going home early in competition, like 2 years ago.

In general, I want top seeded teams to lose and low seeded teams to win, because everyone loves Cinderella stories. It would be great to see any of the brand-new to the Euros teams do well - Albania, Iceland, Northern Ireland, Slovakia, and Wales. Maybe not Albania, I hear they can be dickholes.

Clearly, I want England to win.

Like greece in 2004.

Otto Rehhagel has godlike status since then in Greece

Sticking to your preference in Cinderella stories with your pick to win the tournament, I see. :p

Do well doesn't equal winning! Clearly, I want England's competition to go down in flames, leaving only weak sides.

I've recently become obsessed with the concept of "minnows" in the FA Cup. Rooting for the underdog is often a great footy tradition!

Anyone wanna play the Fantasy game?

http://eurofantasy.uefa.com/

I created a Maidenfans league, code is 466347LT.

I was considering of making my own team. Probably going to since there is a league where I'm not going to find my team on 3673 place at the end of tournament. But I think the prices were more balanced 4 years ago. FFS, I don't want to spend 4 millions euros on 2nd goalkeaper!

I'm switching my secondary support from Germany to Romania. I got them in my sweepstakes at work.

Poland was looking pretty strong, but the two recent friendly matches were very disappointing. There were some injuries too... I guess they're more stressed than in the fighting spirit right now. Anyways, fingers crossed. There's a good chance they will finally advance from the group.

As for today - no idea what's the current form of these teams. France will push for sure, since they are the host, so I'd say they'll win 2:1.
