I definitely find Dave's leads on Fear of the Dark significant: the album has many nice Dave Murray solos. I have 6 of them in my 23 favourite Murray solos and in my top 10 there's no other album with the same number of solos (3) as Fear of the Dark. These solos do not only sound very well but some of them also have more structure than usual and strong melodies, as if he had prepared himself more.It's weird that all these albums are gone but FotD is still in the game. I don't think any solo from that record stands out to me in the context of the whole discography.
I like to keep you in the dark a bit, but I'm sure several people can and may (of course!) tell you here.What are the 8 solos left?
