The Official Book of Souls Tour 2016 Thread (Warning: Spoilers within!)

It's just a rumour doing the rounds on Facebook and the FC forum, I don't know who it's come from originally, but it fits the schedule and would make sense.

EXIT festival didn't announce a single act yet but it's already selling tickets... I'd expect them to announce something before 2016, but you never know with them... they never announce acts at the same time every year.

80€ the price for the ticket in madrid, random ticket...........Iron Maiden have gone crazy? no festival, only 1 support band ..........its a shame.Im going for sure to the show, but that is fucking expensive.

I think prices have gone up everywhere. I'm convinced tickets for gigs I've looked into this year have been more expensive. With the exception of British Lion, that is, they're nice and cheap. :D

Yes, prices seem to have gone up overall. And now they've divided the field (Ullevi) into regular & golden circle, the latter being a little steep at €90. But looking at the enormous trailer & tour bus Steve had for British Lion, the crew (including Newton & Kenney from the Maiden regulars) and then comparing it to how attended the shows were, it hardly seems like they could have made a profit, does it? I got the impression he doesn't mind if it costs him money.

By the way, it was just announced today that Opeth is going to be special guest at the Ullevi show.

Maybe the ticket prices are depended on the production costs this time. Bruce in the press releases mentioned something about 'a real big production'. Maybe it tells all this way. Iron Maiden, 40 years, impressive album, masterpiece work and elaborated stage production this time. It'd make a sense...

We're very pleased to announce that Opeth will be acting as the 'special guest' for Iron Maiden's 'The Book Of Souls World Tour 2016' at the Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg Sweden on June 17th next year.

You lucky bastards.

Hi Metalheads,

I am a Canadian who will be down in Chile during the BOS tour and was hoping to link up with some fellow metalheads to catch the show in Santiago on March 11th.

If any of you are down to hit a hostel, rock out and see the show, message me up at spencer@mountainobsession.com - I will also be doing a ton of climbing after / before, so feel free to get in touch for that as well.

I can be found on FB at Spencer Raymond Madden.

Hope to rock with some of you. UP THE IRONS!

- Spence

I may be getting tickets to the VIP party the night of the first show for the tour. Deciding by the morning if they are still there. Includes some seriously cool stuff. I'd get first entrance to the venue which is a bonus since I have floor seats meaning I'd be at the barrier. Not the best for sound but damn to have Harris 5 feet from me would be nuts

Hmm I just noticed something:

On the upcoming tour, Maiden hardly does gigs on 2 (or more) days in a row. Only occasions:

3 March Mexico City
4 March Mexico City

5 April Detroit
6 April Chicago

10 April Vancouver
11 April Tacoma

(The trend already started in 2014. A small tour, and 4 of such occasions)
Also April 15th and 16th in Los Angeles. I will be at the first show.

Still silence on the China department.

I wonder how many more gigs we can expected to be added for 2016.
