The Official Book of Souls Tour 2016 Thread (Warning: Spoilers within!)

I've come to terms that the Download date is the only UK date for next year, that's why I'm buying my tickets on Friday.

Rammstein, Sabbath and Maiden in one weekend - It's got to be done.

I don't think a possible UK tour will be 'not related to the Book of Souls Tour'. They've advertised Donington as the "only UK show" in the past and then gone on and toured the same stage and most of the setlist in the UK.

Unless it's like a different tour leg of sorts....Like how after the AMOLAD tour they changed their setlist and toured with only a handful of AMOLAD tracks during the summer..or like a Give Me Ed sort of tour leg....But that's very unlikely.

Sorry, I misread Sixes' post earlier. I think further British shows would be TBOS-related, but a different leg of the tour, or at least not branded part of The Book Of Souls World Tour 2016.

New user in peace.

I've set up a petition at: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/...tm_medium=social&utm_campaign=create_petition in the hope that Iron Maiden will play a long overdue concert in Wales next summer.

I would love to see them at the Millennium Stadium, and maybe if dates at Twickenham, Old Trafford/City of Manchester Stadium, Hampden Park/Murrayfield, Windsor Park and the Aviva Stadium can be arranged it would be a great summer for Iron Maiden fans and the chance for Iron Maiden to go to Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland where they've not played for some considerable time.

But I stand by what I said before, that they haven't completely ruled out UK indoor shows in 2016, only as part of this particular tour.
We know what you said, Brigs. But Maiden have stated this is their only 2016 UK gig; irrespective of what tour they're referring to.
It depends on how you read this.

A: "... of this year."
B: "... of this tour."
The website stated "This will be Maiden’s only UK appearance".
The press release for Download clearly stated "MAIDEN’S ONLY UK SHOW OF 2016".

No mention was made of "on this tour". They can go back on this, as we've discussed; but it's clearly their intention at this point to make clear that the UK will only get one date, Download, in 2016.

Yip, we know they played Twickenham, once. But... Maiden don't do stadium tours of the UK. Why does everyone keeping saying this?

Only just seen that additional bit on the full press release. All I can say is that's in direct conflict with what I've heard.
I'm in agreement with you, Brigs, that this is, in all probability, just them covering their own assess; and will remain the party line until Bruce blurts something out on the stage at Download. However, this is the current party line; Download is the only UK gig of 2016. But...

In Brigantium we trust.

Good luck!

I can't see Rod and co changing Maiden's touring schedule because of an online petition. And, to echo Cried, I think the Twickenham gig was a one-off as far as UK stadium shows goes. The SBIT tour probably had bigger pulling power than any new album tour. I went to Twickenham with a bunch of guys who hadn't listened to any Maiden post-Live After Death, for example.

Also, compared with some other countries, the travel distances in the UK are small. Getting to Download from Wales is much easier than travelling the length of Argentina for a gig.

But... many posters on here think there's a good chance of a 2017 UK tour, which would likely come to Cardiff. Just not the Millenium Stadium.

That was weird. I managed to buy tickets without a code despite it being the fanclub presale (I had a code anyway) because the website just didn't ask.

It let me choose tickets without entering the code, then they must have changed the settings and I got signed out. When I went back in it refused the code a couple of times, then suddenly accepted it.
