The Official Book of Souls Tour 2016 Thread (Warning: Spoilers within!)

this is exciting. And I know the lads need a blow, But who has an idea when the 2nd leg may be announced??
 
Yeah, if it's true that this next chapter is going to start spring of next year, they would almost have to have the dates announced by September, definitely no later than first half of October.
 
God I hope they're doing a second leg. If they do, then I'd hope for a bit of a setlist change. My guess is that it's gonna be North America due to the lack of dates this year. Europe just got a full tour so I think that's out.
I've already started saving some money.
 
Alright. Not that I'm complaining. I will see it live, but wouldn't mind having a high quality recording as an extra.

I'm really optimistic about Maiden playing in South America next year. In 2011 Maiden had just finished the TFF Tour and haven't played in Rock in Rio because they made a whole South America tour earlier in the same year. In 2013, Medina made 3 Heavy Metal dates, and Maidne playe din one of them. I think high unlikely Maiden will not play, at least, in the RiR festival. Regardless of being a solo show or a festival, i'll definitely attend. And, of course, i'll carry a sign saying "PLAY WRATHCHILD". I think this song is so snubbed, tour after tour

Late February/Early April - US/Canada
Early May/Mid August - Europe/Asia (they haven't played in Korea or India, for an example)
Late August/Late September - South America

I'm forcing the issue here, but it isn't surreal to see they taking longer breaks between shows and closing here in late September. Or, even better, they can play here in early august, with solo concerts. Winter will be gone, rain season will still be away...
 
I doubt they'll extend this tour beyond the summer of next year. I can see them doing a US tour in late February, and then Europe late March, with the tour finishing in the UK in late April/early May.

From there, I can see them going back into the studio to write and record a new album for release in the spring of 2018. The band knows that time isn't on their side, and they'll want to record a new album as soon as possible before it's too late. From interviews in the past year, they definitely believe that they've got one more album in them.
