The Israel-Palestine Conflict

Scratch "a bit" and this part is correct.
Some people find any form of moderation beyond the removal of spam and criminal content to be inherently condescending and unnecessary, and I think that’s a perfectly valid point of view to hold.

If he feels he’s being treated like a misbehaving child just for saying his piece, then leaving the environment that treats him that way may be the only reasonable response.

@JudasMyGuide, you are always welcome at the Strange Death Discussion Forum where you will not be censored or censured for authentically sharing your point of view.

While this is welcome news, the fact that it happened on the eve of the Rapist-in-Cheif's inauguration is very suspect. It's almost as if it was planned like this all along so Drumpf can claim credit.
It's possible. I'm no geopolitics expert but I had been getting the sense the entire year that it served both parties' best interest to do this before the next administration regardless of the electoral outcome as Biden has been more diplomatic about it than either Trump or Harris would be.

Netanyahu seized the opportunity of a much weakened US President once Biden was thrown out of the window.

Reminds me of the Iran hostage situation.

Do you think the war over now? Or is it just a temporary truce?

Considering the history of the region this is a difficult question to answer. This will definitely result in a temporary relief, which will save many lives.

Whether the ceasefire will continue or any of the parties will start attacking is a different matter and unfortunately not too unrealistic.

Let's just hope peace will last. There was far too much needless suffering already.

We haven't seen the exact deal so it is hard to know who budged, but it seems both sides have moved to get to an agreement. Hamas may very well have been motivated by Trump's threats, and the Israelis may have been moved by continued local pressure at home to end the war + Bibi's ongoing trial. But it is very clear that the Biden government negotiated the ending to the war, with Trump's person hanging out for fun.

Early reports indicated that the deal was essentially the same that Hamas already accepted way back in April 2024, but Bibi had refused. It's all a bit all over the place at the moment.

I think the combination of Biden looking to end his term with a victory and Trump looking to have something to brag about (they'll both claim credit) probably resulted in some serious threats to Bibi behind closed doors forcing his hand.

It's just a shame Biden didn't do shit about this a year ago when the bodies started piling up.

Adding to the above post, it will become more and more obvious how catastrophic and truly neo-con policies Biden followed, even that the War in Ukraine would never happen under Trump (I never doubted)

Reading the article below straight fwdly and also between the lines one can understand who of the Presidents is pro war and who pro peace. Clearly should Democrats had won the elections there would be an attack on Iran (Natanyahu's holy grail) whereas, reading between the lines Trump put a stop on it. His envoy on Israel sealed this deal not a drifting and weak Biden with zero leverage since last summer.

For anyone whose eyes are open the notion that Biden played any significant role to get this deal done, is funny to put it mildly, almost in par that Biden is as sharp as a tack.

Not to rain on 5's parade, but surprise, surprise: Bibi claims that the ceasefire is just temporary and that Trump has pledged to give Israel full support, ultimately dropping any limits still in place, to resume the war in Gaza again. Oh, what a peaceful dove that Trump is.
