The Future Past Tour 2024

Well, SNJ is better than half of the 80's albums, so I couldn't care less about nostalgia tours, especially after 3 years of LOTB. :D

If people want to listen to Run To The Hills there are like a million live albums. I want surprises and unique choices, not the same old we've been hearing for literal decades.
Yeah I don't like greatest hits tours and tired of listen Fear of the Dark in every f***ing tour but it s what it is

I have hard time believing that this would be a three year tour. It's kind of a niche set after all. Personally I would love to get a greatest hits tour next. There's lots of newer fans who have not been able to hear the classics live and I do get a kick out of them myself, even after all these years. 5 decades of Beast or something from '25 to '26.

Skipping Oklahoma this time which I expected based on the attendence to the last two shows they performed here. I enjoyed both and was surprised they even came back for the second.

Well, pretty sure there will be a Future Past live album at some point (and hopefully bluray, wishful thinking). Will they release next year before the 2024 leg starts? It is almost a year away. I would think 2 years of Future Past will be enough. 2025 is the 50th anniversary so I would rather see a new album and tour. Maybe they will also release an all new compilation as well. I can see it now - "Still giving Ed. 50 year of Iron Maiden".....or a beer.

There's got to be something else around the corner. We expected NA and SA tour in 2024. We expected the 2nd leg of the TFP tour. We expected Bruce's solo album release.
Bruce wouldn't be so self satisfied in that video without it being something extraordinary.
We all know the way Bruce gets on and he knows exactly what he's doing when he says Maiden fans will be really happy.
I'm not really happy about anything that has been announced so far so where is the big reveal?
It's a bit irritating that it's taking so long for Maiden to spill the beans.

"A NEW BEER!!!" has become the "Wrathchild!!!" of the 2020s, so I hope there's an actual Wratchild beer around the corner... The mother of all MaidenFans recurring jokes. ;)

Seriously though, I've liked most of the Robinsons Trooper beers, so I wouldn't mind a new one, haha. I mean, they're nothing extraordinary, but some of them are actually very, very good!

As for possible things coming up... I think Bruce's "you'll be happy..." might very well be this tour announcement. Or maybe they're actually putting out a live album before 2024 leg of the tour, but... I think it would be very odd move for Maiden to release a live album with a set they're still doing on tour. Okay, Nights of the Dead was kind of such live album, but under very different circumstances.

I wonder if the live album is planned for early 2025. Possible studio sessions around same time, a short summer tour under Future Past title but with a couple of setlist changes and album announcement & release later on..? Alternatively the 2025 tour could be something like TFF 2010 (or Give Me Ed) with a taster of the new stuff and also setting up the visual landscape of the upcoming album. If there will be another album, that is.

In any case, I don't think they're going to do anything particularly flashy with the 50th anniversary thing, but I could see the year 2025, whatever theme they're touring with, having some setlist inclusions of that nature, e.g Remember Tomorrow and/or Phantom of the Opera. Maybe.

Well, just speculating.

So, most likely no Euro dates for 2024. That's fine and fair. I'm genuinely happy for the fans in Australia, New Zealand and Japan for the chance to catch this tour and to see Maiden live after such a long break in the first place.

I would've loved some European dates, of course, but hey, at least I'm going to see Bruce Dickinson show next summer - a dream come true! Not too excited about it being most likely a festival appearance, but... whatever the case, I'm just happy for the chance.

I’m surprised they haven’t announced the opening band for North America yet.
We know it’s not Judas Priest because the starting time for the shows is at 19:30 and not earlier.

Who do you guys want to see? I hope it’s either Amon Amarth, Megadeth or The Warning

As far as opening bands go, I think getting KK's Priest would be fun. Just because of the "Mom, can we get..." and as bit of a troll-move towards the tiring "RUMOURRRRED MAIDEN/PRIEST TOURRR" thing... which has actually (finally!) stopped it's most intense run, but hey...

Maiden fan: Mom, can we get Judas Priest and Iron Maiden joint-tour?
Mom: We have Judas Priest and Iron Maiden joint-tour at home.

Didn't Dave Mustaine hint at touring with a legendary British band next year?

So thats a total of 31 shows so far, add Argentina, Brazil and Mexico + an overwhelming demand second show in LA and thats your 2024 dates wrapped up.
Yep, 3 months tour (September-November), around 40 shows at most. Like the 1st leg, more or less.

No European dates next year (it seems but not sure yet) and 50/50 about a 3rd leg.

This.
Do you think they would be back in Europe milking this tour in 2025 ?
If they haven't announced a new album or a new tour by the summer of that year, I think there is a chance (like in 2020, and especially because of the SIT songs), but I think the band will want to do something new then (Bruce and Nicko's hints in the video?). 2 years of TFP is enough and normal, although I would love to see this tour.
And honestly I don't see them celebrating 50 years with a new album tour. More likely a history one.
It's more likely yes, but at the same time a new album would be perfect to celebrate that the band is still going strong after 50 years.

I agree, but unless it's a new album in 2024, I can't think of anything else that fits (including a live album/video).

Agreed with your first comment. As for the second - spot on. If they release the live album/video in December 2024 after the tour, then there won't be a 3rd leg. An early 2025 release of it (kind of like En Vivo's release and the start of ME tour) is also possible. I'm not sure about a 3rd leg then either. Maiden never released an official live album/video from the tours with 3 legs. But a short TFP tour with a few setlist changes and an album release in the fall seems very likely. The 2025 tour could be indeed like the 2010/2003 ones. That being said, I still think they will want to celebrate their 50th anniv with something.

Once again the Senjutsu stage set? Would be great to mix up the things a bit, especially for Japan. People haven't seen Senjutsu, Stratego and the japanese temple there. But probably overinterpretation.
