The Future Past Tour 2024

I saw denver show on youtube last night. The band was really cold maybe the place was not full but i saw bruce walking again and no passion on that show. Still a good sounding show but the band was like tired?

I was at the Toronto show on Saturday. It was disappointing that The Hu couldn't perform. I've heard contradictory explanations as to what happened. Are they the best opener Maiden has ever had? No - but they were probably the most unique and inspired choice over the past decade. I'm not sure if I'd pay $100 to see them play for two hours, but I can't remember the last time I was looking forward to the opening band this much.

As a replacement for The Hu, a "metal DJ" spent 40 minutes blasting music. The song choices were mediocre, and it was painfully loud. Everyone seemed to be relieved when it ended.

The band sounded fantastic. Many people have already noted that Dickinson has been singing well. McBrain sounded very good - there were some simplifications, but no obvious mistakes. One fan spent the night circling the floor, with a "Paul" sign.

This was my third and final time seeing the Future Past tour, and it was my first time watching it from the seats. It was a strange feeling, not being surrounded by the more hardcore fans near the front. Nobody stood for "Doctor Doctor". Many people got up and sang only for the hits. A few people left early. I have a ton of respect for the band playing the songs that they want to play, but it seems obvious that casual fans don't want to hear 10+ minute songs about Celtic warriors (or 8+ minutes songs about defending a wall). The band has probably cost themselves millions of dollars in ticket sales over the past decade by not performing "greatest hits" every night (the surprisingly good sales data for next year's tour shows that there's huge demand for that).

How do you expect the band to show excitement when they've been playing to audiences that look like mummies lately?

I've seen some videos where most of the audience doesn't give a sh*t even with SIT songs.

According to an Italian fan page, there should be a live release from TFP soon. More info in the link. They only talk about a live album(!?), but I really really doubt they won't release a concert video/s. It would be ridiculous. Nights Of The Dead had no video release (and is a single show), but it was different, the times and the band had streamed 2 shows from 2 different legs of it.

I think and guess it will be from multiple shows (mainly from this year), from SA for sure. Like last year, hopefully the band will sound great/best during the last shows of the tour. Especially Bruce. And they have unique video footage from Wacken.

Eh, that's pure conjecture and guess work from the fan page. They purely based this on a YouTube video being claimed. While I'm sure that we're going to get a live album, this is not really an indication of it IMO. The Australian gigs were rough, maybe they claimed the videos to save face? Maybe it was a third party going ham without Maiden's involvement (which happens far too often with copyright strikes).

This is what they do today.

Steve said no one buys DVDs anymore so Maiden won't release them.

This is great to hear and is evident from the videos. I also noticed that Nicko plays the last drum fill in ''Iron Maiden'' during the drum solo fairly fast, so that's good too Yeah, it's seconds, but still. And the ride during the solo is more flexible. Only the precision as a whole is not there yet.

I don't understand such fans, the older stuff will be more popular than the new stuff, but maybe it depends on the song. And the country. They even don't care about some SIT songs! Um?? Writing On The Wall's popularity is undeniable. For example, if Hell On Earth was 7 minutes without the intro & outro. It's probably about the length, Clansman is a live favorite with its 9 minutes. Celts, Greater Good and Book Of Souls/Red And The Black, not. I have a ton of respect for the band for not playing the same hits every tour and I don't expect that from the new tour, more or less.

I don't disagree, but isn't that strange about the videos.

I meant live streamed videos like in 2017. Especially for this tour.
