Yes, the Team Rock review is one of the casualties of the 'no more news' phenomenon. I'll link back to this thread seeing as it's kicking around here anyway. The article is supposed to be coming back online next week, and Metal Hammer is out on August 18, so they might have it in print then.

Impossible. His Holiness is in Maiden and therefore they will never suck.
To be safe one should have chosen to tattoo Adrian Smith to ones body though.

I don't really give two monkeys about the news blackout. However, could they not simply have briefed the band to stop randomly talking (except to officially sanctioned, you assume, press like Metal Hammer) to everyone/anyone about the album?! :p

The single - if the viodeo or / and single will be released at all my friends. There are only two sources in the web, where we received some random 'news' about the single release planned on 14th August, nowhere else we've seen the info includimg OFFICIAL IM SITE. I conclude it could be the promotional bug or a simple rumour, nothin less or more.

I suspect this is all part of the game. What's to say the publications involved aren't in on it, in exchange for an exclusive interview, providing they play the game?

Who knows?! Most probably we'll get a notification on their FB page about the bday itself.

Nicko already said that weeks ago. The interview link has to be in this thread dozens of pages back :)

See, the thing I fail to understand is that the majority of Maiden fans who don't post on Maiden forums (so, let's say, non-diehards) always bemoan the repetitive choruses on their albums. Yet the prevailing opinion is that Brave New World is the best of the reunion albums for some reason. I don't get it.

Assuming of course that the new record is a continuation of The Final Frontier, I'd guess we won't see a whole lot of repetitive choruses. The only song on TFF that had one was the title track.

Which is why TFF (the album) is better that the rest of the bunch. I do hope it will be a continuation.

I think the love of Brave New World comes from two places. 1. A return to form. 2. Though repetitive, the songs are catchy and don't require much from the listener. It's an easy album to enjoy.

Chazz I can't see it as a return to form at all. 4 songs belong to VXI and H worked just on two of the songs. I think it was quite evident that the album was put together quite fast and even Steve said that the high point were the solos. I mean, really?! I can understand that the production is quite lively and loud but still a joke compared to other bands Shirley worked with.
