Just read this "he last two tours we didn’t do “Hallowed Be Thy Name” and two years before [on the 2010 Somewhere Back In Time Tour] we didn’t do “The Trooper”.......janick is wrong? they played the trooper ,i cant remember in what tour they didnt played the trooper

They didn't play the Trooper in 2010 on the first leg of the Final Frontier Tour.

Man, with all the respect. Montsegur is as long as Revelations. It is not a short rocker. If the song we heard is Speed of Light....then it is not a rocker either. At least not the way I mean it e.g. Be Quick or Be Dead....or even Wildest dreams for that matter. It seems to be slower than both to begin with.......

On the other hand The Wickerman was neither fast nor slow for me.....so I would say it a rock song of some type but not a good opener.....and neither is Different World.

Damn I miss Bruce solo songs
 
5:50 as far as modern maiden goes is a pretty short song. It's 1:30 shorter than revelations. What defines a rocker for you? For me, it's distortioned guitars all the way through. The song has to be fast. And there can still be an instrumental section in the middle for it to be a rocker.

My bad, revelations is 6:50 so a minute longer. As for my short rocker definition....please check my EDITED previous post. Cheers
 
I think Maiden still make solid rockers. Sure their albums seem dominated by proggy songs but you still get stuff like El Dorado, The Alchemist, Montsegur, all great songs. Sure they're longer still, but does length really matter?
 
Yes,these songs are solid.It is that I would really like something with a bit of fire and speed. Something dare I say as fast as Man on the edge :goodbye:

There's this little tune called The Alchemist on The Final Frontier that is quite speedy...
 
Without checking for sure, I feel like both songs are at least close to the same tempo.

Of course there is Lego :).

But still not fast enough for my taste....Man on the edge is still faster.
 
Ps: Not a short rocker but maybe just maybe...The loneliness of the long distance runner?!Could it be their fastest one?!
