Metallica (Despite all the deception envolving this band, their first 4 albums can't be matched by the finest or heaviest, faster Priest album. Also, they had two masterminds of Metal music in the band - David Scott Mustaine and the late, but eternally great Clifford Lee Burton).

Metallica. Damn hard choice, almost unfair. But Metallica affected me more deeply when they came out. Priest was very good, but Metallica were revolutionary.

Priest was revolutionary, too, of course, but Metallica was a monstrous powerhouse of fury, energy and another very important thing - intention. As Hetfield said once: "It might be shit, but it has life!"

I don't think you should judge a band by certain albums. I think you should judge by their whole discography.

That's why Metallica should have gone a LOOOOOOOOONG time ago.
