I know about that one! It is great how "sudden death" is placed between headaches and diarrhea, as if it is on a descending scale. You know you may die which is worse than diarrhea, but hey at least it is not as bad as those damn headaches. 
This is just hilarious. This is so brilliant, you can't come up with this shit.
Not only is the German government doing everything to make people here paranoid of the Swine Flu - or "New Flu" as it has been labeled in, and I kid you not, warnings in lectures I've had this week - but it is also wholly incapable of doing it right. Now the government has ordered amounts of vaccine that would cover the population... but they bought the wrong stuff! And guess what: our current health minister doesn't feel like doing anything about it because she will leave office next month, since her party lost the elections.
I mean, not only do they waste tax money to buy stuff that is totally needless, but they also buy the wrong stuff and don't even care about setting it right. Can it get any more stupid?

My provincial gov't spent millions on creating EI Heath and they literally have nothing to show for it. They didn't want to use a pre-existing data base, nor were they willing to have a local university do it for free. ON topic: There have been a few 'reported' cases here-- one at the school that my son attends, and one of the guys I work with has a daughter that was confirmed H1N1... he was sick a few days later, but never went to the dr. to see if he actually had it. One girl that i know went to the doctor, and when she was in the office they found out she had H1N1; they treated her, but then escorted her out the back door, instead of letting her go out through the waiting room.

In a latest poll, 1/3 of Canadians say they will not shake hands to avoid H1N1 even though the flu does not spread skin to skin.

This 'discussion' (I'd rather call it a polemic) has been giving me toothache for the past two days:
As Germany prepares for a mass-immunization against the swine flu, there are growing concerns about the existence of two different shots - one for a selected few and one for the rest of the population.
Sometimes, I really hope a major swine flu epidemic will hit Germany and shut all those jerks up because nothing will happen.

Just like SARS or the regular flu, there is a market for immunizations. People with medical conditions or who are in the health care, child care, or seniors care field should be immunized. Average Joe doesn't need it.
