Guys, there is no reason to believe that it has already been recorded.
They always go in the studio for a few weeks for songwriting. We saw that happen just after the tour stopped and Maiden were spotted in Paris for a few weeks. They had to write the songs first before they record them. Writing takes a while. Recording takes a while. There's no way all that happened in the time when they were in Paris.
According to this article from 2010, Shirley finished mixing in April 2010 and according to an interview with Janick they went to Paris in November 2009

But yeah it's all speculation isn't it Shirley going to Paris then leaving could mean that he's been over there to record and then brought it back with him to mix ....But who knows?
There is no way Maiden are going to book an expensive studio in Paris for nearly 3 months, fly an expensive producer from the other side of the pond to spend 2+ months there if they were not going to record the material with Kevin sat on the producer's chair...
My bet is the album has been recorded and, if there is anything left to do with it, it might be the final touches (mastering, adding orchestral bits if required) and would not involve the band recording anything.
We have no proof that studio time was booked. We have no proof that anything happened, in fact. We have rumours. There is no way Maiden are going to book an expensive studio in Paris for nearly 3 months, fly an expensive producer from the other side of the pond to spend 2+ months there if they were not going to record the material with Kevin sat on the producer's chair.
