Speed of Light - Official Music Video Thread

I think Bruce's voice sounds better in this single compared to the stuff from TFF, where he sounded like he was drowning in his own phlegm.

Bruce's voice now sounds better live than in the studio but compared to his 80s and 90s days , the studio voice was superior.

Apologies if I have gone over old forum ground, but I thought it was worth mentioning, as I see his voice and the extent it has been pushed, as the rate limiting factor in anything maiden does, and that's barring the SCC in his tongue and lymph node

My sister is visiting me these days. On our way from the airport Speed of Light started blasting from the car speakers. Her comment was "Cool song, very optimistic but why is Bruce not following the song during the bridge before the solo? ahahahah

That would be overkill. Three guitars and a voice doing all (nearly) the same.

But it is just one guitar (or two). What she actually meant is that the vocals don't match the song (bridge) that much. But just keep in mind that my sister grew up by always listening to Maiden, cause of me. So she got so fed up that she - most of the times - avoids their music. Even she said the song is pretty solid.

Really starting to get this song now...
The solos and start are particularly good.
Really like the main riff as well.
All hail Mr Smith!

Well, after saying I don't really care that much about sound, I've just heard Speed of Light for the first time on an MP3 player with decent headphones, and what a difference it makes to this song. It's like a whole different package.

There is also a theory out there : If a song is good enough, the sound quality doesn't really matter.
