Senjutsu - 3rd September 2021

Bear in mind that it is a Making of the video for The Writing on the Wall, not a Making of video of how they recorded the album in the vein of the documentary that came with AMOLAD.

Time Machine is good/great musically, but lyrically it pisses me off :D
Have I ever told you about my time machine
Sit you down I’ll tell you everywhere I’ve been

No, You didn't tell. It's so interesting, please tell me.

Let me tell you about it, let me take you there
Does it really matter, it’s all in the mind
Let me tell you about it, listen what you’ll find

Tell me, please. I am so eager to hear those wondrous stories. Tell me tell me.

I am not a preacher, I am but a man
You cannot imagine what I’ve seen and done

Ah, I am shaking in anticipation. Tell me, what have You seen?! Tell me tell me.

I have lived a long life, I have seen the world
I could tell you stories, hair will stand on end...

So, will You tell me, or will continue to brag?

I am not a preacher, I am but a man
You cannot imagine what I’ve seen and done...

The main character was probably too ashamed of what he had done.

Perhaps it’s to be seen like a horror movie that doesn‘t show the monster, because really, it can be more frightening and soon you can‘t tear away from thoughts in your head - head - head - head - head - head - head - head - head

You saved me from a doctor's visit!

Maybe the other songs on the album are the tales of what he has seen :)

It's going to be close in the U.K.

The UK Official Albums Chart have announced a midweek race for the top spot this coming Friday, with Iron Maiden currently 8,000 sales ahead of second place Drake.

Maiden’s 17th studio effort Senjutsu is beating the rapper’s Certified Lover Boy on physical sales and downloads, but Drake is reportedly winning on streams, so, as the charts state, “everything is still to play for”

8,000 is healthy enough lead, but most Maiden sales have probably already happened.

If you are in the UK listen to it on Spotify until the end of the week.

I have yet to buy my copy thanks to the lovely distribution from Warner to independent shops.

I have noticed Dave is the only one who hasn't been interviewed at all. Nicko was on Chris Jericho's podcast lately (hilarious listen btw), Bruce has been interviewed lots lately obviously, Adrian has been in a couple of videos and talked about WOTW on Planet Rock on Friday, Steve was on the Plaet Rock show, Janick was interviewed for Metal Hammer UK. Does Dave normally do much album promotions nowadays?

Is there any possible way to make the vocals clearer i have so hard time hearing it on this album. The Writing On The Wall is the only song i can hear it clear.

Rest of the songs Bruce just disapears in the instrumentals. Im kinda confused about this.
