Bruce also said the album was supposed to be released after Legacy of the Beast part 2, which makes it sound like 2019. However he mentions that got postponed, and then postponed again, so a 2020 release date was their plan all along it seems.

I think the songs are far too long, come on really? 10, 12, 11 minutes? If al the songs on the book of souls were cut in half it would be a better album, not sure what they're aiming for here. Hopefully stratego is good.

The most curious bits:

According to Bruce, Nicko's drumming on this album is his best ever (going all the way back to POM and Powerslave). Janick also praise him.

Adrian had the riff for TWOTW, while Bruce put the melody over it and wrote the lyrics.

''Death Of The Celts'' is Kevin Shirley's favorite song from the album.

''Senjutsu'' will be one of the heaviest songs of Maiden.

Steve picked ''Senjutsu'' as the title track.

Adrian had the original idea for the title track.

-> Vague promise from Janick of at least a couple of songs from Senjutsu to be added to the LOTB Part 3 next year.
