Flaming Blimp Crash
Ancient Mariner
Shame if Senjutsu replaces The Clansman, that one's always a real crowd pleaser. Opening the encores with Senjutsu would be pretty neat.
3 - the first song with an acoustic intro to not be written (or co-wrote) by Steve.
Moonchild?
With you all the way on this comment. I don’t believe I’ve ever been this excited for a Maiden release. The comments from Bruce really don’t seem like the obligatory hype. Trying to keep my expectations down. I’m sure I will love it though, it’s Maiden…..Some may disagree but to me TWOTW sounds like a very solid and thought out song.It is mid paced but it has every right to do so. As stated above and if this is any at all indicative of the album, then I can only be happy. Going through the reunion era this period and I can really see the progress and tryng to get the mindset of the band. I can say I got a great deal of respect for Janick and H.
I was listening to TFF earlier on today. I did enjoy it however skipped a few songs including MOM. The chorus is quite jarring plus the production isn't the best. From what I can glean from WOTW the production will be better on the new album.@Iron Lurker I just went through the solo section of Starblind and Avalon. These parts are pure jenius.. Even in TFF where there are some not so good moments one can find such elaborate music parts.
That’s a common criticism of MOM. I think it was intended to be that way, Bruce sounding pained. Makes sense with the context of the song.I was listening to TFF earlier on today. Very pleased with the production of TWOTW, bodes well for the new albumI never though I would say this but I think (especially after the 2015 remasters) AMOLAD has my favorite sound/production. Also I don't think the production of BOS aged very well. TWOTW has a very solid sound.
I actually think the best reunion album production has been TBOS. I think Steve has been listening to other band members, particularly Adrian, and it has improved the sound. There is more bottom end generally in the overall sound and reverb on Bruce's vocals individually. There is reverb on Bruce's vocals in WOTW and it does make a difference.Couldn't agree more @maideneer10
Up to now every second album since reunion had a weak production. Not this time it seems.
I can understand the point i.e. the pain of WW1 soldier but I'm struggling to link it in with the chorus. I really just think it's not a very good chorus....That’s a common criticism of MOM. I think it was intended to be that way, Bruce sounding pained. Makes sense with the context of the song.

It's hard to know. It might be the second single released post album release as we are a bit close to the album release for another single...Stratego is a Gers/Harris rocker (probably) so makes sense for a single.Someone pointed this out on Reddit. So this image that someone posted on the FC Forum suggests that Stratego might be another single from the album: (I don't know the origin on the image, though someone on reddit said they saw it on Amazon)

Well, if you look for the album on iTunes the only song other than TWOTW that has a time next to it is Stratego.
Seems to back up the idea that Stratego will be the next single, and that we might hear it before the album is released.

Speed of Light was announced 6 years ago today, with the video dropping a week later. Obviously things have come out a bit different this time round with the video/single coming out before the album announcement. But maybe we'll hear more music sooner rather than later?
Thoughts?
I think there had to be some post 80s songs in the Legacy tour. It was really heavy on 80s classics. I actually like FTGGOG so enjoyed it live. It must be hard for Maiden to choose a set list out of such an amazing back catalogue...For the Greater Good of God should be replaced in any circumstances. It's not one of their best epics, imo. (please, don't get mad at me for this. You can't entirely ignore crowd reaction during this song). Ok, i'll put it this way, the song is good and moving by itself, but it is not one of those where audience would go nuts and energetic.
I'd vote for Infinite Dreams or the obvious ROTAM.
