Senjutsu - 3rd September 2021

As I mentioned once before, to help pace the album a bit better, I plan to listen to the songs out of order for the first time. Here is my order:

1. Senjutsu (Smith/Harris) 8:20
6. The Time Machine (Gers/Harris) 7:09
4. Lost In A Lost World (Harris) 9:31
2. Stratego (Gers/Harris) 4:59
8. Death Of The Celts (Harris) 10:20
7. Darkest Hour (Smith/Dickinson) 7:20
9. The Parchment (Harris) 12:39
5. Days Of Future Past (Smith/Dickinson) 4:03
10. Hell On Earth (Harris) 11:19

And if Stratego is released as a single:

1. Senjutsu (Smith/Harris) 8:20
8. Death Of The Celts (Harris) 10:20
6. The Time Machine (Gers/Harris) 7:09
4. Lost In A Lost World (Harris) 9:31
7. Darkest Hour (Smith/Dickinson) 7:20
9. The Parchment (Harris) 12:39
5. Days Of Future Past (Smith/Dickinson) 4:03
10. Hell On Earth (Harris) 11:19
Ok, so I am not the only weirdo around here! I tend to do this as well. Ι'll start with DOTFP

I don't think we can talk about pace before listening to the album. A long song can be very dynamic, like BoS imho. There are albums that do suffer from bad song order choosing like A7X Nightmare for example

But BOS has got just two rythms and in the first half nothing happens (IMO)

How do you guys know that the pacing of the album needs “helping?” We haven’t even heard it yet. They probably spent a lot of time thinking about the album order and had reasons behind the track order they came up with.
For me, I don't hear songs in the way they pace together the way the band meant. I hear them as individual songs that are separate from each other. So I just like the idea of shorter songs being mixed in with longer ones. Especially with an album like Senjutsu.

I'm trying to stay calm, but sometimes it's too hard to hold my excitement and hype back.

I feel you. Thankfully not too much excitement for me. For one, I don't look forward for summer to end.
I do listen however to Maiden music every single day (normally I don't), mostly post union compilations I make.

If I listen to Maiden, it makes my hype worse and it's like torture.
