If they had Megadeth the ticket sales would rapidly increaseThey definitely do, but I am not sure is the type of audience who would fork out £127 to see them support another band.

Should of just made it a special Maiden show again with Angel Witch Venom or Saxon opening, then a band Megadeth to direct support, that would of been legendaryKnebworth must be selling really poorly. I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up with 30k. They got everything wrong with that one.
What about even getting maybe Angel Witch or Venom? That would be a legendary night
They shouldn't have booked Knebworth in the first place.Should of just made it a special Maiden show again with Angel Witch Venom or Saxon opening, then a band Megadeth to direct support, that would of been legendary
They could've sell out 2 London Stadium easily.
It took more or less a week to sell out the stadium, with other ca 45k tickets sold for the rest of the UK. No doubt they could've sell out 2 shows there this year and next year. Not even in Rod’s wildest dreams.
Perhaps if they played two completely different sets that could be a remote possibility…

They should change the venue to a mid-sized stadium in a big city, maybe Birmingham.Knebworth must be selling really poorly. I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up with 30k. They got everything wrong with that one.
As far as I know Maiden actually pay their support bands. But someone like The Hu will be much cheaper to book than a bigger band that would actually make the lineup stronger and help to shift tickets. In what sense? I know Maiden do not charge support bands for the privilege of playing unlike other big names, but they surely should have been able to put together a stronger line-up with similar costs.
I wonder if they were hoping that The Darkness would help them shift a good number of tickets to casual fans, but with them announcing a headline arena tour this week, I am not sure that is a possibility anymore.
Yeah, if the sales are so poor as some here suggest, the management would be forced to invite more attractive supports and/or cut the prices, maybe even cancel the Knebworth show and change the venue. I remember the same kind of talks about one single London Stadium show right before the tour was announced.OK, so not only in Rod’s dreams but also in yours.![]()
Definitely, a stadium show in a big city would be the better option.I remember the same kind of talks about one single London Stadium show right before the tour was announced.
That’s London thoughI remember the same kind of talks about one single London Stadium show right before the tour was announced.
No it wouldn't. Neither of those bands could fill a club and they'd be a poor fit on a Maiden bill. What about even getting maybe Angel Witch or Venom? That would be a legendary night
