Run For Your Lives World Tour 2026 Rumours and Speculation

Metallica are all about accessible cool and have been for a very long time. It's an image for tough guys slinging whiskey and smoking giant cigars compared to 6 quaint Morris Dancers singing convoluted historical epics.
Genius and made me laugh!
Really well written post, absolutely on the money. It’s another of the reasons why I like Maiden too.

Bruh, we're talking about two bands that perform rock music for dads. There's nothing rebellious about Metallica and there's nothing rebellious about Maiden. And that's okay, what matters is the music. If you want to taste anti-mainstream approach, go listen to thrash metal bands from Chile or black metal bands from Trondheim.

More than 50k sold would surprise me.

London this year was the big celebration in my opinion. Or should have been.
But all we got was Eddie in a West Ham-shirt and a matchday programme.
My fear as well, since Maiden saw the London Stadium numbers and thought, 'great lets top that!', but they may not succeed.
The documentary hype will boost some sales early next year, that's my expectation.

Exactly. Maiden do what they do and are really successful at doing that. But to think they are as big as Metallica is pure FANtasy.
Metallica are a mainstream band, they get radio play every once and a while and have had their songs in lots of movies/tv etc. Their music is broadcast to more people. Iron Maiden don't do that, its what makes them so great. Maiden are a touring/live band and they always have been. If you compare modern Metallica's live performance's to modern maiden, the quality is not even close to being the same. Also without Maiden there wouldn't have been Metallica sooo.

I'd be surprised if they manage 35k at Knebworth at this rate and it'd serve them right, frankly. Incredible arrogance to charge insane prices for a show in the middle of nowhere with such lacklustre support.
As I have said in previous posts this is the closest that Maiden! has ever performed to my house however the price, lack of change in the set list and general rise in prices has made me think twice about it. If there is a price reduction closer to the date, I might consider it. However, I can’t really justify spending £150+ pounds on a show that I’ve already seen.

I’m not being negative, because I really hope that the people who go to the show have a great time. These are just my thoughts.

My friends and I are genuinely considering going to see The Offspring and Dropkick Murphys at Crystal Palace a month earlier for about £80 a ticket. I know they are not as big as Iron Maiden but that pricing is more in line with what I think should be charged for events like this.

Honestly, the band with Maiden status could announce a massive FREE show in the UK just to immortalize the 50th Anniversary experience. I know - the money matters, the costs would be enormous even for them, but - Oh my God - just once in their career. The 50th Anniversary should be something special for their fans and a kind of thank-you for their unstoppable support.

I am not sure there exists a worse deal than the Knebworth VIP thing.

The whole Knebworth show seems so bad even people on the FC are complaining.

The whole point of VIP is so people with too much money can feel special by paying over the odds for something. It's not aimed at you.

I said it on the FC forum, I got a freebie VIP at Hellfest a couple of years ago, and it's really nothing for anybody to feel their missing out on. Food and drink with a bit shorter queues, an area to chillax for a bit with less people and a bit of shade (probably less of an issue in the UK ), I wouldn't pay any extra for it to be honest, but it's not aimed at me, it's aimed at people who fly business class on planes. If it was available for cheap then too many people would do it which would defeat the purpose.

I'm a little surprised that Bruce, who seems to enjoy taking photos with fans at other events, has never offered a limited number of slots fans can purchase at an Iron Maiden show.
