RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Him to use such theatrics for his solo tour? And play more Maiden songs than 1 (rotation or one off)? His potential hint about the song was a bit vague, because maybe he meant all stage clothes, who knows. I must say, Powerslave wouldn't be the best fit for this tour (after the 2008 tour and being played fairly recently), Rime is a special song, but if they want to use the album cover theme live, then it would be it. The other option is To Tame A Land.
I prefer Powerslave to Rime, I always did. I think they could play both of them. TTAL has like 1% chance imo. I think there will be more than 2 epics, because modern era Maiden prefer lengthier songs and there aren't many of them in the first 9 albums. Poweslave and Rime + Phantom must be the likeliest combination. (there is SSOASS also, but I think they could use the album cover theme with Moonchild, Clairvoyant, any other song off that album. Powerslave fits perfectly, if they want to use Mummy Eddie and the pyramids and everything and there is no other song in that album that they could use for that.)

More than 2 epics, yes, but it's kind of tricky to guess. Seventh Son with its middle part is like Rime, the safest choice is Rime and Powerslave, To Tame A Land would be the best surprise... I prefer Infinite Dreams, Phantom, Hallowed and Land. Rime, Seventh Son and even Powersalve were already central epics on previous tours, so who knows. If they use screens and want to create some atmosphere with them, the middle part of Seventh Son is perfect for that, not Moonchild or Clairvoyant, their arts are not icy. The latter is Scribe Eddie.
That would be the best scenario, but the tour poster seems to have clear references to Aces High and 2 Minutes.
I think the poster just reference some songs, but not all are hints this time. LOTB was unique. The thing is - the poster is anti-Powersalve (all other albums can be tied up a little more with details), album cover theme, not 2 Minutes/Aces. One can say that about SIT (expected) or SSOASS, but it is more noticeable imo.

Hallowed won't be in the middle of the set, it will probably be before IM or encore and it works better there. They did Seventh Son in 2012-14 and they used Scribe Eddie for that. That's what I meant. Powerslave wasn't really central epic (the main epic) on SBIT or BOS tour (they didn't use the front cover theme on the latter) and it won't be now. Powerslave is also an epic that will go well with casual fans, it's a constant gallop. Rime should be the choice. Powerslave and Phantom are like semi-epics.

Just had a thought... Considering that Bruce said that first 30 minutes of the set will blow our minds... Combined with I can't believe they are playing this one... Could we be looking at a reverse chronological order? Something like:

Be Quick Or Be Dead
Judas Be My Guide
No Prayer For The Dying
Bring Your Daughter... To The Slaughter
Only The Good Die Young
Infinite Dreams
Stranger In A Strange Land
Powerslave
Rime Of The Acient Mariner
Trooper
Number Of The Beast
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Killers
Phantom Of The Opera
Iron Maiden
----------------------------------------------
Fear Of The Dark
The Clairvoyant
Run To The Hills

Now this would blow my mind. Not gonna happen, but yeah.

I'd love that but.. many would wonder whether they attend the right concert with the right band or not.

I can already hear the whistling and "Play Free Bird already!"

It could also be in chronological order, something like:
Sanctuary
Prowler
Phantom
Killers
22 Acacia Ave
That is more likely, but still not that likely to happen

Sanctuary would also be a good opener, the riff played in the silence and darkness and with a bang all the band members are suddenly on stage and in the middle of it, similar to 2000 when Adrian first entered the stage alone and played Wicker Man.

What will blow the stadium audience’s minds will not be what will blow our minds.

With that said, chronological could be really cool and work in a way that appeals to casuals and hardcore fans alike. It also allows the band to pace out something that sprinkles in the hits in a logical way. Someone suggested opening with Phantom of the Opera which is an idea I absolutely love. Sanctuary makes sense as well and has historic precedent.

1: Phantom of the Opera
2: Sanctuary
3: Murders in the Rue Morgue
4: Killers
5: 22 Acacia Avenue
6: Run To the Hills
7: The Trooper
8: Die With Your Boots On (or Still Life, or Revelations)
9: Rime of the Ancient Mariner
10: Powerslave (or Two Minutes to Midnight)
11: Infinite Dreams
12: Fear of the Dark
13: Iron Maiden
14: The Number of the Beast
15: Hallowed Be thy Name
16: Running Free

I also think opening with Iron Maiden would be quite something.

For what the band is advertising, I feel like it's a sufficiently mind blowing opening run of songs.

I like that and it's pretty similar to what I think will happen. I don't know if they'll play them in chronological order, but all the songs listed here are likely. The only one that is almost a given and it's not listed here is the Clairvoyant (and Wrathchild of course everytime).

Chronological order or reverse chronological order could both make sense, the latter being a little harder to pace since if we're taking Bruce's first 30 minutes comment to heart then we'd probably arrive at Rime by song number five and I don't see them going for it that early on. Chronological does have its problems too on that front since there's not that many candidates for pleasant surprises in the first batch, Killers is probably the biggest, most obvious one and I'm not sure even the stadium audience would get blown away by that.

There’s also Evil That Men Do, which has been out of commission for an uncharacteristically long time for them. I’m choosing to believe the Infinite Dreams hype with the logic that they won’t play many songs from the late 80s/early 90s, but that could be the most fertile ground for a left field deep cut as pretty much anything off the first four is going to be well known by casuals. So I can see some latter period hits not making the cut.

Despite having some of the easiest verses from the 80’s, I thought TETMD sounded pretty rough on 2018. That chorus is killer.

Different tour, but speaking of mistakes, I think the first date of 2009 (3rd leg of Somewhere Back In Time Tour) Belgrade, Serbia is one of kind later career show:
-Adrian starts 2 Minutes To Midnight instead of Wrathchild, the band carries on.
-Nicko randomly counts The Trooper in (21:10). Band reactions are hillarious. Then he proceeds to mess up Phantom Of The Opera at 22:20.
-And my favourite, Adrian starts playing Wasted Years instead of Trooper. Bruce tells him to get his eyes ****ing checked (28:45).
-after Hallowed Be Thy Name, Bruce thinks it's the end of the show. He says goodnight, see you later, while the band just stands there like, WTF is he doing?
After he gave so much **** to Nicko and Adrian during the show, he ****ed up in the end too.
Hallowed Be Thy Name was the last song of the set on the previous years leg of the tour, that's why Bruce must have thought that it was the last song of the evening.
Thankyou for post this. We should do a topic with all the iron maiden bloopers( i dont know if that its the word. Very good this one iloved nicko starting the tropper and all the band next to the drum kit . And adrian playing wasted years and bruce behind thr stage i imagine dressing like the trooper saying to fucking check his eyes
