I hadn’t seen that video of Charlotte on the Early Days tour before. Honestly I can see why they dropped it. It kinda has this “old guys reliving their former glory” quality to it that the other deepcuts from the first two albums avoid. I find it kinda strange they didn’t go for 22 Acacia Ave instead.
But yea outside that setlist change, rotating Fallen Angel and The Mercenary in 2000, and the infamous dropping of Paschendale/BTATS back in 2010, it isn’t like Maiden makes a whole a lot of late game setlist adjustments. I also get the feeling that with stuff getting posted more reliably on the internet, they try not to deviate too much from what fans see opening night since the stage show also tends to be more static. Plus the last few tours they post the setlist on their own social media channels as well, so it feels more written in stone at that point.
