RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Could be an albatross.

I can see it.

I thought the Clive Burr comment is a little funny since it's in the context of Dawson playing a setlist that's comprised almost entirely of Nicko era songs, and I absolutely don't trust Bruce's judgment as a singer to be enough to make that kind of claims about material Clive never played on. It felt more like a "hey, we've replaced well-beloved members before and it all worked out in the end" fueled namedrop than an honest comparison.
Or - you could look at it this way. They are including ALL of the albums that Clive played on? Including one of their biggest albums ( N.O.T.B ) - after spending months on tour playing night after night, you would definitely be able to understand the style of a drummer and mentally be able to somewhat picture how they sound. Bruce didn't specifically say that Simon "sounded like Clive when playing songs Clive never played on".

Simon is a great drummer in his own right, and made a lot of sense for him to take over - he's one of a very few number of drummers who have not only played with Steve Harris for longer term, but actually formed a tight performance bond. Maiden is different from a lot of bands, where the drums and bass are so strongly intertwined - a tight drums&Bass bond in Maiden is far more significant than in many other bands. I don't think Simon sounding like Clive was ever going to be a 'requirement' nor an intentional effort by Simon - just that that is the style maybe Simon has developed and in the context of Maiden songs, it might sound more like if Clive was drumming.

As many have pointed out Bruce's statement about Simon sounding like Clive - Bruce joined the band while Clive was still in the band so has experience with how Clive played - and they could easily have talked about it together as a band once they rehearsed with Simon - this may not necessarily be directly Bruce's opinion only. I see no issue in that, nor any issue with him mentioning it. There are many people *myself included* who are fans of Clive's style as much as (or even more than) Nicko's, and perhaps that's just exactly how it is. Bruce (and the band) are not required to ONLY like Nicko's style of playing.

I for one am very much looking forward to hearing the songs performed with Simon - as much as I love Nicko!

DID IRON MAIDEN JUST REVEAL THEIR SETLIST... AND A NEW SONG?!

Early this morning (April 24, 2025), our team stumbled upon a hidden gem in plain sight. While searching for discounts that don’t exist, one of our eagle-eyed team members spotted a rotating banner on Iron Maiden’s official webshop. It was visible for a mere five seconds, but it couldn’t escape our scrutiny. Check out the banner here: LINKY LINK

What initially seemed like something an AI might churn out during a cigarette break revealed a pattern upon closer inspection. Our team, tasked with predicting the setlist for Iron Maiden’s upcoming tour for weeks, immediately realized - Maiden just leaked their setlist!

Here’s the breakdown, from left to right, of posters and songs:

  • Killers album – “The Ides of March” (on tape)
  • Maiden Japan – “Wrathchild”
  • Iron Maiden France Tour, September 1980 – “Prowler”
  • Iron Maiden Norwich, 24th June 1980 – “Iron Maiden”
  • The Number of the Beast album – “The Number of the Beast”
  • Beast Over Hammersmith – “22 Acacia Avenue”
  • The Number of the Beast Tour, Barcelona, April 2nd – “Children of the Damned”
  • Piece of Mind album – “Die With Your Boots On”
  • Aces High single – “Aces High”
  • Powerslave Tour poster – “Rime of the Ancient Mariner”
  • Powerslave album – “Powerslave”
  • Somewhere in Time album – “The Loneliness of a Long Distance Runner”
  • The Future Past Tour poster – “Alexander the Great”
  • Phantom of the Opera single – “Phantom of the Opera”
  • Seventh Son of a Seventh Son album – “Seventh Son of a Seventh Son”
  • Stranger in a Strange Land single – “Stranger in a Strange Land”
  • The Clairvoyant single – “The Clairvoyant”
This looks like it was pulled from a fan’s wildest dreams, but can we be sure? Absolutely.

For each song with a single, the poster used is the single’s artwork. For non-singles, it’s either a tour or album poster. The pattern is undeniable.

But wait - there’s more! You missed one poster! Smack in the middle of the wall is a poster for the Run for Your Lives tour. So what? Of course, there’d be a poster for the tour they’re promoting. But it mentions... Hammersmith Odeon? They’re not playing Eventim Apollo on this tour! And certainly not on... February 11th 2025?!?!?!

If those 3 were : Hallowed, Hills and Trooper, I'd believe that.

Honestly we’ve been speculating about the concert opener for a long time. Has anyone seriously considered “Prowler” yet? First Maiden song on the first Maiden album, and given the theme of the tour, not so far fetched. Could also be the “I can’t believe they’re playing that!” track.

If they play Prowler, I'm going to buy tickets for as many shows as I can ( already have for 3 shows).

I see your logic . . . but staying on the theme of early material I reckon Murders would just be a better opener

Not that I wouldn't like to hear Prowler - cracking track

I don't see any explanation of how each poster necessarily points to a certain song?
How does Piece of Mind mean that DWYBO is being played? or Somewhere in Time pointing to LOTLDR?

It's 2025, take your weiner-showing songs back to the 70s where they belong!

I think it has been mentioned, but not seriously. It feels kinda lacklusterish as an opening song. It lacks that bang. More on that topic, for me not a single song from debut album has that "opening song" feel

Prowler urging for Prowler feels very... prowler-ish.

No, he kinda did. Check the interview. The only time they played together was a single run through of the Future Past set, which as you might have noticed, like I said, features exactly two songs Clive originally recorded out of a set of 15. You're jumping to argue something that neither Bruce nor I claimed for some reason. They did not play RFYL's set and they cannot have since rehearsals haven't started yet. If they had, the comment would've been perfectly reasonable since there's a pretty clear difference between how Clive approached those songs vs. Nicko.

Im starting to belive that they are going to play the greatest hits. ALL.
So revelations aces high powerslave 2 minutes flight of icarus where egles dare the trooper number halloweed run to the hills the prisoner wrathchild iron maiden phantom fear evil that men do clairvoyant can i play with madness wasted years heaven can wait bring your daughter and so
