RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

If four songs off Powerslave:

At least 3 off Iron Maiden (Iron Maiden, Running Free, Phantom)
At least 2 off Killers (Probably the title track and one other)
The obvious group of Fear of the Dark, Number of the Beast, Run to the Hills, Hallowed, Trooper, probably Evil That Men Do

That's already 15 songs, and two albums unrepresented. It doesn't seem completely out of the question but I will be bracing myself for a meltdown in this thread if that's the setlist. :D
This could happen and it's a bit underwhelming, but I don't think so. Running Free or Sanctuary seems inevitable at this point. The 3 Number of the Beast hits and Iron Maiden,Fear of the Dark, Trooper are a given. At least 2 Powerslave songs and at least 2 SSOASS songs are a given also imo.

Maybe. If anything it makes me think 4 Powerslave songs feels unlikely. Imo we’re getting either Powerslave or Rime but not both. Same with Aces High and 2 Min.

It's likely gonna be 2 songs off Powerslave. Rime and one of the other 3 that are in rotation. Hopefully not Aces High. Also, I feel like playing both Powerslave and Rime kinda on the samr tour kinda defeats the purpose of SBIT tour. Let alone all 4 songs.

"Lackluster singing" as though Bruce didn't own "Aces" during the 2018/19 legs of Legacy. '22 was rougher but it was at the end of the show.
Just listen to 2008 version and follow that up with 2022. They sound tired. Even in 2018/2019 when Bruce was amazing, the band didn't have the fierce energy like in 2008.

It's a song that simply isn't meant to be performed by a band in the late autumn of their career.

Again, in 2008 it was the first song in the setlist where the adrenaline is highest. In ‘22 it was tacked on so people could experience the Spitfire + fourteen years elapsed between both points. There’s no comparison here.

Even in 2018/2019 when Bruce was amazing, the band didn't have the fierce energy like in 2008.
Sure, but that’s to be expected with age. Nonetheless it sounded awesome and they built a whole spectacle around it. Seeing it in person was incredible. If they can do something like this again with RFYL, with a new drummer who can keep the intensity needed, then I don’t see why they shouldn’t bring it back again. Do I think it’s likely? Not necessarily, but it’s one of my favorite Maiden songs so any chance to hear it is fine in my books. Even the slower, rougher ‘22 version didn’t put me out. I was just happy to be there in the moment.

I left during 3/4 shows during Aces High in 2022, because it was really bad.

I don't know why a band, which has more than 160 songs in the repertoire should play the hardest one in there (which admittely was always impossible to sing, per Bruce himself, despite him nailing it on some tours), that had it's last decent performance 6 years ago and the last amazing one 16 years ago. It should be retired and I stand by it.

You can build a spectacle around another song.

Also, this would be the 4th tour since reuninon being opened with Aces High. A bit much IMO. I'd like something new and unseen by Maiden before. Give me Phantom with theatrics (and no barbecue jokes).

I still believe Rime and Powerslave are possible.
But then that's all for the Powerslave album.
Yes, I think that’s right. The only thing with Rime is that there isn’t really anything out there suggesting they will play it. I think it’s possible but it feels like fan speculation gone awry. Part of me feels like if Powerslave is the choice, that means no Rime.

If they play 4 Powerslave songs, several albums are going to end up getting the shaft and that pretty much precludes any deeper cuts than Rime. I still am not convinced that every album from the given window will be represented, but if any album is going to get more than 3 songs, it will be one of the first three (as the tour marketing has been pretty clear about).

Anyway I still don’t think Aces High is going to be the opener.

Let’s be real, this whole tour defeats the purpose of SBIT given that it covers the exact same era. And if they play Rime, all songs played on SBIT will have been played again since then.

It also could mean that theres still nothing planned.
Probably this.
Well they did exactly that with The Legacy of the Beast tour.
That being said, I don't think that the art collage necessarily hints towards that many, if any, songs themselves, but works more as a "setting up the aesthics & mood" thing - a bit like The Future Past posters & whatnot did, as those too didn't have many direct song references.
Isn't the tour poster for that? And with LOTB and especially TFP was different and easier. This one is just a merch art for now, probably made for fun.
Imo, Maiden’s definitely doing Only the Good Die Young
After Bruce's comment about surprising song/s and Steve's comment about it, it's at least more possible than before and after Alexander.
So far Aces High, Powerslave, and Rime have been speculated about it in this tour. Not much talk about Two Minutes To Midnight, but it would be quite the surprise if that song was omitted. Playing all of the big 4 off Powerslave seems kinda surprising to me, not sure if I buy it yet.
They won't play all 4 from Powerslave. 2 at most imo. The debut, TNOTB and maybe SSOASS are the only albums which could be represented with 3 songs. 2 Minutes is more expected to return (I hope), Aces can't be topped now. And Rime will take up 3 songs spots with its length. They also need to fit at least 2 90's songs. I'm curious if the set will be more than 15 songs. If not, it's really tough with 9 albums.

I also like to think after TBOS, Rime has a better chance than Powerslave now. Bruce loves both songs. They like do to something different for every tour, so I think it won't be just the usual hits. It could be different enough than the 2008 tour, if they want to. They are much better with the setlists since the Reunion. Let's look at the possible songs:
Iron Maiden, Phantom, Running Free, Prowler
Killers, Wrathchild, Murders, Prodigal Son
Hallowed, Hills, Number
Trooper, Boots, Still Life, Land
Rime, 2 Minutes
Sea Of Madness (to say)
Infinite Dreams, Clairvoyant, Evil That Men Do, Seventh Son,
Bring Your Daughter
Fear, Be Quick

So at least 8 songs could make it different enough. Let's hope so.

Because of the prop. It was bad. Playing Aces on a 4th History/Hits tour would feel like playing Wrathchild on every tour. Something new and unseen is the right way now. After all, the casuals should like every 80's song and the popular 90's songs (and Be Quick is one of them and imo can rival the faster songs from the 80's, for sure like Afraid, which I don't expect after the 2012 tour), right. Not that they won't do what they want.
I don't think Aces will be the opener though - and I think they'll represent every album.
Also, I feel like playing both Powerslave and Rime kinda on the samr tour kinda defeats the purpose of SBIT tour. Let alone all 4 songs.
Agreed. It's more or less the same (like ME, although it could be like an upgraded RLT; SBIT was like Part 2 of the 2005 tour), hope for 3 90's songs. They need to do something different, besides the possible deep cuts. 17-18 songs would help.

I think since reunion they have made great and different setlist. This wouldnt be different.

If they play 2 songs off Powerslave, 2 minutes and Rime are the most likely . The ideal is Rime and Powerslave(bird mask hint?) . It won't be a copy of the SBIT tour. They will play more songs off the first 2 albums now and they'll also not play Heaven Can Wait and CIPWM (probably no Revelations, Moonchild too). + they won't play all 4 Poweslave songs now. So, half the setlist will already be different. The others are Hallowed, Fear, IM, RTTH, Trooper, Number, that will be played anyway. So, there is no issue there.

I have a strong instinct that the tour will start with Phantom of the Opera. Just like they surprised everybody by starting with Number of the Beast in Give'em Ed tour. The intro of Phantom is suitable for Maiden's favorite thing: "first playback guitars and explosive entrance" formula.

I always thought Be Quick would be kept for the first encore song but since Bruce said that the 30 minutes will be surprising, I took it back to the first half, maybe directly after Phantom or after a second song which has a jumping / clamping nuance, probably 2 Minutes.

The 3 songs which weren't played in Maiden England v2 will be there: Infinite Dreams (name of the book),Killers (People trying to find small hints in the poster but first of all: the poster as a whole is a new version of Killers) and Die With Your Boots On (no hints but the band loves to play that one).

The main epic will be Rime, with an old ship atmosphere. Since Bruce mention a mask, Powerslave will be there before or after Rime. But the big Eddie will not be the Mummy, but something else in another song, maybe during Clairvoyant the Clairvoyant Eddie will appear?..(Actually this big Eddie thing bugs me the most, another scenario that comes to my mind is the Phantom of the Opera will be the main epic and there will be a big Phantom Eddie during that song in the middle) (My fantasy would be To Tame a Land and a big Dune Worm in an Eddie shape will appear, but that's just my odd fantasy :)) )

I think Revelations and Wasting Love is hidden for Bruce's tour. And I think they will skip Somewhere since the Future Past was all about that album. (Maybe Wasted Years...)

So in this logic I made up my Guess List on Spotify:

I think rime will be played for a last time. They all want

This makes sense. The only thing I don't like is Phantom opener. It might be 4th song or something. I said before that I think a Phantom Eddie might appear, but they could just have 2-3 different Eddies this tour. I, also, don't think Be Quick will be played. The opener is the most difficult to predict.
Die with your boots on has a good chance to feature, it's either that or Where Eagles Dare/ Revelations/Still Life. It's between 4 songs imo. If Revelations is saved for Bruce's tour, then it's between 3 songs. I want Still Life and it makes sense as a Nicko-tribute but WED makes sense also. Still Life is a song that wasn't played in ME2 too.
Infinite Dreams and Killers are very likely. Infinite Dreams is more likely than Killers. I don't know if they'll do 2 songs off Killers and Wrathchild hasn't been played for a while and we all know that they like to throw it in every setlist.
The Clairvoyant is the likeliest song off SSOASS imo. It's almost a given. The Clairvoyant eyes in the poster, the single poster in the store, everything.
I also don't think they will skip SIT. 1 song will be played. I don't think CSIT and HCW have any chance. Deja Vu and Sea of Madness don't make sense because they have a lot of shorter songs to pick from other albums. So it's Loneliness, if they want to surprise us or Wasted Years/Stranger (maybe Alexander back to back? I doubt it)
The 90s are either too easy or too difficult to predict. I think they will just play Fear of the Dark and maybe Daughter too. They might just skip No prayer. Bruce said in this last interview that the tour will feature the first 7 albums. It might be a mistake or a hint. Also, no 90s poster in the store. I don't think the store posters are setlist hints, but they are merch hints.
Give us Rime AND Powerslave, please.

I could see this happening. But they will play the entire song. Walk onto the stage, play the intro and bang, off we go. Similar to Senjutsu and The Final Frontier.

I'm guessing a whole new big Eddie. Wouldn't mind Mummy and your Phantom idea is interesting, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's the original punk Eddie this time around.
