RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

Only 15 songs though? and most of them are shorter ones...5 of the first 6 songs of this setlist are what we want to see, but all the rest are so safe and predictable. I don't think they'd do songs 9-15 with that order, especially the encore. It's a bit lackluster

1.BQORBD
2.Sea of Madness
3.Revelations
4.Trooper
5.ROTAM
6.Killers
7. Number of the beast
8. Phantom of the opera
9. Evil that men do
10. Fear of the dark
11. Hallowed
12. IM
13. Running free
14. Bring your daughter
15. run to the hills.
If that were true I'd be quite satisfied. We get the expected classics and though I'd prefer SSOASS to ROTAM, there are some songs that haven't been played in ages. BQOBD, Killers and BYDTTS are so rare that it would be awesome if they returned. I dislike Sea Of Madness, but I'd be happy for it to get another chance. I'm always for deep cuts, even if I don't like them.

no way they'll play revelations, bruce will play that one in his solo tour.
and i believe that even the band didn't finalize the setlist by now. they are rehearsing nowadays and testing the candidates, the flow of the setlist etc. we know that they rehearsed some songs before, that didn't take place at the final setlist. so it's BS %100.
Im sure the main setlist is already chosen at least 90% of it maybe a year ago. And what they are going to do on each song backdrops, pyro and many other things. But i will wait to confirm the setlist 27 may

They probably know the setlist more or less, but rehearsals haven't started yet (right), so it's not set in stone, if true. And the order of some songs is odd.
If this is the real setlist though - it has 5 great rare songs (which is good), but the rest are too safe. Which is always an option after all. And only 15 songs?

I don't think Revelations will be played so soon (and Bruce will play it at least once this year). Some are expected ofc (Phantom, Rime, the classics, even Be Quick). I like Bring Your Daughter and songs like Sea Of Madness(! something rare from SIT, hope so), Killers and Be Quick are great, but I thought this tour is the prefect opportunity to play stuff like No Prayer, Infinite Dreams (the book), To Tame A Land, Prowler... Clairvoyant. And no Wrathchild, 2 Minutes.

As much as I like these 5 rare songs, I hope the final setlist is different. A bit lackluster, although all albums being represented.

BQOBD would be cool to hear as the opener, but I wonder if they feel it's a bit obscure for the masses.
A bit obscure, dunno. The energy will compensate, no? The song was liked by the fans in 1999 and it's also their most speed/thrash metal song, so it should be popular. Definitely from their 90's albums.

some songs like Aces High and Prowler make ''more'' sense, but they've done this in the past so it's time for something different, it's part of the theme and a popular enough song. Also, an opener to their 1992 live album, let's not forget. It's not that different then when they open with a new song, right.

Be quick is an IM song and its on their 50y career catalog afaik. And its a badass song for open the gig.

But considering your scenario, prowler would make even more sense.
Absolutely, Prowler makes more sense. Aces High, even though I don't want it, makes more sense...Number of the Beast, Trooper, Where Eagles Dare, many songs make more sense as openers.

Here's the length of the band's setlists over the past decade. It's quite consistent, in a tight range from 93 to 97 minutes:
  • 2016 (Book of Souls - first leg): 15 songs, 97 minutes
  • 2017 (Book of Souls - second leg): 15 songs, 94 minutes
  • 2018 & 2019 (Legacy of the Beast - first leg): 16 songs, 97 minutes
  • 2022 (Legacy of the Beast - second leg): 15 songs, 93 minutes
  • 2023 & 2024 (The Future Past): 15 songs, 97 minutes
There's a good chance the band will do 17 songs. A hypothetical setlist (not in order, of course) might be:
  1. Iron Maiden
  2. Phantom of the Opera
  3. Running Free
  4. Wrathchild
  5. Killers
  6. The Number of the Beast
  7. Run to the Hills
  8. Hallowed Be Thy Name
  9. Still Life
  10. The Trooper
  11. 2 Minutes to Midnight
  12. Rime of the Ancient Mariner
  13. Wasted Years
  14. Infinite Dreams
  15. Bring Your Daughter... To the Slaughter
  16. Be Quick or Be Dead
  17. Fear of the Dark
That adds up to 93 minutes. (Drop Infinite Dreams, which is probably wishful thinking, and you could even get up to 18 songs - pick two of Sanctuary, The Evil That Men Do, The Clairvoyant, etc, and you're still in the mid-90's).

I hope they do 17 songs, since, as you said, the gig's tight range in the last years was 93-97 minutes (a 18th song would be amazing and will stay in the tight range). That setlist looks very nice, plus a possible 18th song, even better.

My vision of the setlist 2025:

Introduction
Be Quick or Be Dead
2 Minutes to Midnight
The Trooper
Wrathchild
Killers
Phantom of the Opera
The Clairvoyant
Rime of the Ancient Mariner
Fear of the Dark
Bring Your Daughter...
Hallowed Be Thy Name
Iron Maiden
----------------------------
The Number of the Beast
Wasted Years
Run to the Hills
Running Free

I think now, it's the most likely. ~ 95 minutes
