RUN FOR YOUR LIVES WORLD TOUR (2025/2026)

For the world slavery tour, I think the setlist was almost the same for Europe and North America. I think only 22 Acacia Avenue was the extra track in Europe. Maybe they played Losfer words too? But that's all. ( I might be wrong)
They also played about 14 songs and 3 of them were Run to the hills, Running free and Sanctuary. Their set back then was definitely shorter than the last few tours. If they did the world slavery tour now it would be the most boring setlist they could do. Only the hits, Rime and Revelations. Not even a single Killers song. Saying all that, we have to be grateful for the setlists we get the last few tours.

I think their reluctance to play longer gigs (probably due to Bruce's voice not lasting long in that setting) plays a significant part.
I think the standard is 2 hours, 20 songs at most. Ofc, it depends on the length of the material and how challenging it is, especially towards the end of the show. I think Maiden have only done 3 tours(?) with 20 songs. Their typical is 16-17, regardless the amount of shows. Some bands could do more, but it's not a good idea for all of them, most likely. For bands with more members who can sing, yes. Although, for example, the current lineup of Helloween doesn't do that.

It's really curious if Maiden will play more than 15 songs with the shorter 80's material and Simon now. This way they will be able to cover more songs from the big albums and in general. With some shorter songs? Wrathchild, Running Free, Sanctuary, etc.

I have never been to a 2-hour Maiden gig. The longest one, as far as I can remember (I used to time these things), was quite close though, back in 1998 with Blaze as the singer.

Shortest show was Bospop in 2005. 90 minutes.

Insane to think they did an almost 3 hour long show with Blaze at the start of Virtual XI World tour:

That would've, unironically, been my dream show. So many oddities and rarities.

Bruce: ''We're still pushing - still pushing to make it better, and that is the way it has to be. We're never going to be our own karaoke band. The way we're going to do the tour, it’s so crucial that we really deliver on little moments where people go, Wow! None of us want Maiden diminished. The only band I compare us with is ourselves. And as far as I'm concerned, we're only as good as our last gig. That’s it.''

I put a million pounds on HIM! Let's hope the promises of the "out of this world" tour for the 50 Anniversary will be true....

As much as I like Maiden and agree with the comments made regarding the appearance of deep cuts in their setlists in the last decade, they cannot be compared with Rush, who went beyond what Maiden does when it came to choosing setlists.

Average setlist for the Vapor Trails tour (2002) In addition to new material, they played songs that had not been played live since the early 80s.

Average setlist for the R30 tour (2004) Lots of changes from the previous tour.

Average setlist for the Snakes & Arrows tour (2007–08) Again an excellent example of debuting new material and digging deep in the vaults, playing some songs that were last played in the late 70s and early 80s!

Average setlist for the Time Machine tour (2010–11) Moving Pictures played in its entirety (The Camera Eye was last played live in 1983), debut of some new songs... I was lucky enough to see the band at their London show on this tour! :edmetal:

Average setlist for the Clockwork Angels tour (2012-13) Most of the new album played live plus songs that have not been played live since the 80s or 90s.

Average setlist for the R40 tour (2014) What a way to bow out 26 songs spanning the band's career, played in reverse chronological order, with some of them not having been played live since the 70s/early 80s. Shame they did not visit Europe on this tour. :(
All these changes and they didn't play Fly By Night or Something For Nothing! Rush was insane..unfortunatelly, I discovered the band when it was to late to see them live.

It's gonna be a great tour. We can all bitch and moan about this song or that song or this tempo or that tempo, but the second you get in that arena and Doctor Doctor starts playing: it's an incredible moment. This will be no exception.

the doctor doctor moment is the closest thing you're ever gonna get to an orgasm without having sex. that.

Weird. Looks like this show does not have any bootleg recordings. Or if it exists nobody has ever posted on internet.

To be honest, a 3 hour show with almost the whole Virtual XI album played would be the most boring Maiden show ever. Without Bruce or Adrian too.
I'd take an 1 hour 40 min show with Bruce/Adrian and better song selection any day.
